Frisian as a dialect? I was told by my German Dialects professor that it was it's own separate language; or at the very least a dialect of Dutch rather than German.chrissi1980 hat geschrieben: Yeah Frisian is quite interesting I heard it once, but it sounds like a foreign language. Yes the description is correct. For us in the north is Frisian a dialect but that's not the correct description. People who speak Frisian are able to understand the Dutch people.
