I don't really believe in him! maybe there's something "big" out there, but this religion stuff is just a thing to control people! i think it's ok to just believe in him, but what about all these things which happend just because of religion???
wars, burning people.....
and these crazy thinking people, what about for example with "holy believers" who even have sexual contacts with their own children just because they say "it's ok, it's all about god!"???!!!!

I know there's a god who made the world and who is all-knowing, all-powerful and omnipresent!
He's like a loving father and he sent his son to rescue us!
I believe in everything the bible tells us, because I feel that everything's getting alright abiding by the biblical instructions!
Look, it always sounds very unlikeable to get ruels but the bible just wants to give you advices how to deal with your live!

In my opinion, God and the bible aren't just an idea to feel save in bad times, they are the truth!!!

How could this universe which runs according to an absolute accurate system (in terms of night and day, stars, planets and galaxies) how could it have come by chance and pure coincidence?
The idea of chance is something obsolete and has become outside the rational circle in the world of science and knowledge, and the world of reason and cause.
It is so hard to envisage that this world has come into existence without a wise capable and knowing creator.
With the least contemplation, we can recognize the invalidity of chance ( or coincidence ).

I would first of all like to say, as Nevermore did, that I respect your point of view and beliefs. However, I disagree with some of the things you said here. Firstly, there is not perfect system at present, in my opinion. It's just the system we happen to have. If days were always five hours longer in the northern hemisphere, leaves were blue, many stars in different positions and galaxies and black holes located differently, chances are we would still have accepted these facts as the norm. Chance is still a heavy factor in many things. Chance is very much in the loop of modern science, its meaning has just changed slightly. Now chance means the varying consequences of slight differences in how things are done.

For instance, it is still chance whether a die lands on a six or a one, chance whether you move you hand in a certain slight way, which in turn is determined by, perhaps, the pressure of the air or certain impulses of the nervous system. Chance exists, just as one huge chain of influencing factors which combine to form, effectively, chance.

Nevermore said there were millions of planets, I think the figure is billions or maybe even trillions. The universe itself is infinite. Few people buy a lottery ticket expecting to win, but always one person does. The odds of life are very reasonable when you consider the numbers of planets, solar systems, galaxies etc. Besides, life did not begin as complex as this. It started with tiny, single celled organisms, not even complex enough to be clearly defined as plant, animal or fungus. These things then evolved as expected, through random mutations (which happen very rarely, reflecting the fact that there are not sufficiently few cases of non-mutations to constitute evidence of divine intervention; it is reasonable to expect that one in millions of organisms could mutate).

Sure the odds of life seem low, but life is certainly possible, and could have occurred randomly. Life may even have begun on only one planet and been transferred over billions of years through meteorites and asteroids to others, Life could have occurred by chance, in my opinion.

Though I`m not the best friend of the church
It`s more logical, when a many angels help for different things as one only, who can do everything… Do you understand what I mean?

And I often ask my guardian angel/s for different help!

Oh yes… I don`t think, that angels look like this typical picture (with wings, golden locks etc.)… I believe much more, that angels look like normal people, sure nobody can see them

So that`s all what I want say to you :)

I also belive in angels existence. Not more, and not less. I've ascertained an angel hype in this decade, people are wearing angel collars, they make angel conferences and even adore them. In my opinion, and by the way I'm a christ, that's definitely wrong. It is said in the bible, that you should only adore god, and not it's angels. It's only my opinion, I don't want to foist my view on you.

I don't have to add now, that I belive in God, right? For me, beliving is the strongest thing I've ever felt. And adoring is not only a hoby, it is a way of life.

Science has made a couple of discoveries during the last years but there is still no proof that everything
comes into being out of nothing.
They can say that everything started with the big bang. But what was there before the big bang?
Nothing? How can such a big expansion start out of nothing?

But on the other hand...if there was a god there must be something that created him/her. An ubergod?
Where did he come from?
It's just impossible to find an answer to those questions.

So...I don't know if I believe in god =)

Everything is theoretical... that's why I'm so open to new ideas. I can't say I believe, and I can't say I don't believe. I'm a science major, but I was raised to be religious.

I do believe in God. because of my religion I believe God but if they hadn't told I could find by myself because there are lots of clues which take us to god.

I also believe in God but not in the way the Roman Catholic Church says. I believe God is everywhere and not only in the church or in the altar bread.
And I think the ambassador of God like the pope is only a human... that means for me, that he can make mistakes and can have the wrong opinion in any themes. You may not have to live like the church want you to live.
I think you have to find your own way of living and you have to go your own way in life.

But I have a question to those people who believe in God. And which of you think, that it is easier to live when you believe in him and to whom God keeps you grounded.
My question now is, how do you explain, in the eyes of God, a death of a beloved person? Or a badly disease?

I don't believe in God but in the theory of evolution. And I also don't believe in Jesus. I don't think that in passed millennia a guy was walking the earth and easing people off their pain or suffering with nothing but his powers. That's ridiculous.

Rather we have to agree that anybody believes in something. That is the way you get stronger and I am not accusing anyone because of his/her faith! I just don't like it if people obtrude their faith on others even if they don't want it.

Well I find it a bit harsh to say that the theory of Jesus is ridiculous. The point is, that many people believe in Jesus as a person who brought faith to the people. You don't have to believe it yourself. I don't believe in it myself still saying their belief and their own theory on religion is ridiculous is not fair. Would you like it if a Christian came along telling you that your belief in the theory in evolution is ridiculous?

And one thing I find worth mentioning here: the Pope is from Germany fair enough, but once he becomes the pope he is the head of Vatican and the head of Christendom - his nationality does not matter anymore. So if he messes up, the Vatican messes up. And it has nothing to do with his nationality.

Where the pope is concerned you are perfectly right. I'm sorry for ridicule the pre-nationality of him or to bring it in connection with the Vatican.

But I think you skipped something I mentioned before:

So I don't offended to any faith! It's my own opinion that it's a dizzy thinking. But I don't like to accuse anybody of his faith!!! It's okay, if someone belives in such things - I really don't care. Sorry for that misunderstanding.
