Wir haben momentan in der Schule das Thema Walfang (whaling) der Inuits und sollen unsere eigene Meinung zu dem Thema nennen und Argumente liefern. Dabei kam folgendes heraus:
I'm definitive against whaling!
It is terrible and brutal to kill whales. When you do it, there will be blood everywhere. This is not a pretty sight. But above all the whales supper. They die slowly because the Inuits use harpoons.
What is, when we allow the Inuits to kill whales? How should we forbid it the other big countries, who practise whale hunting, too? We want to stop whaling everywhere, so the Inuits must stop it, too.
And when the Inuits kill the whales further, they will exterminate them soon.
The Inuits needn't eat the whale blubber, they can buy other food at their supermarkets, so why should we allow the Inuits to waste the whales this way?
At the end I can say that it will be all better, if the Inuits let the whales alive.
