I was given the task to lead a discussion in our english course on monday. Unfortunately, I can't think of a suitable topic, though having skimmed through the economist blog newsbooks for the last hour or so.
the topic should...
- refer to a political/social/business-related occurence/phenomenon that took place within 2010
- be easy to introduce, i.e. a generally known incident/happening/event
- be controversial
Maybe someone'll give their suggestion(s). They are more than welcome!
P.S.: I was thinking briefly to talk about Stuttgart 21, but then again the matter is of rather unambiguous nature, isn't it?
Any further tips on how to lead a discussion would be much appreciated, too
