Hey Leute,
wäre echt nett von Euch, wenn jemand die Textabschnitte korrigieren könnte. (Grammatik)
P. S.: Ist ganz dolle wichtig!
Schon mal vielen Dank im Voraus.
Sydney is the capital of the federal state “New South Wales” and the largest city of the Australian continent, but just of the population numbers which is 4,5 inhabitants. If the area counts Sydney is the 4th largest city of Australia with 1.664 square kilometers.
As the Australian colonies consolidated in 1901 they looked for a capital. But they didn’t want to favour the at issue cities Sydney and Melbourne, so they had the idea to launch a new city.
Surrounding Sydney is the flat and slightly hilly woodland called “Cumberland Plain” and the ”Hornsby Plateau”, an up to 200 metres high downs which is streaked of by forested valleys.
The residents of Sydney are called Sydneysiders, that include a range of different immigrants from places all over the world. For example Italian, Greek and Chinese, who live in their own districts.
Captain James Cook is one of the best-known discoverers of Australia. In 1770 he detected the entry to “Port Jackson”. But only after 18 years Arthur Phillip made an exploratory trip through the Port Jackson and descried Sydney and named it after the British Home Secretary, Thomas Townshend, Lord Sydney.
Governor Lachlan Macquari built streets, bridges and public buildings during 1810 to 1821 and so he laid the foundation that Sydney could become a considerable city.
From 1830 to 1840 emerged die first outskirts, because evermore people from Great Britain and Ireland immigrated to Sydney.
Sydney has a lot of interesting and beautiful sights and I would like to present you two of them.
Now I’ll introduce with the most eminent landmark of Sydney. The Sydney Opera House, which is one of the main parts why so many tourists visit the city.
Another highlight and a place to be when you visit Sydney is Darling Harbour because it’s one of the greatest docklands in the world.
More attractions of Darling Harbour are among other things the Australian National Maritime Museum, the IMAX Theatre and the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
