Hallo. :)

Ich hab die beiden kleinen Texte hier.. Hab ein paar Kleinigkeiten umgeändert und hoffe es ist jetzt besser.

4.Prince Charles uses the words uglyness, mediocrity, dull and heartless in order to show his negative attitude against the new buildings and architectures. That is the stylistic part. He is not contended with the heartless town planning. He uses the word Frankenstein monster and he describes that the professors of architecture found out after experiments that the man is a machine. Besides in his opinion, if they deny the past, they lose their souls and the buildings lose their souls, too. It is important that they do not give up the old principles of architecture. The buildings should reflect the high technology today and the people will suffer. Prince Charles finds the new ideas of architecture are an attack on the old principles of architecture.

5.The "Frankenstein" metaphor says that it is without a character, alien and largely unloved. The pictures on the page 115 show how was the development in London in the years 1930,1960 and 1989.There were not any big houses and tower blocks in 1930. In 1960 there were more big houses and tower blocks. But the development was bigger in 1989. There are a lot of big houses and tower blocks now. I find London beautiful in 1989. But I can agree with Prince Charles that the people do not be allowed to forget the past of architecture but I find the "Frankenstein"metaphor not appropriate for the year 1989.
Ich danke euch schon im Voraus für eure Hilfe.

There were not any big houses and tower blocks at all in 1930. In 1960 however, there were some big houses and tower blocks. But the development went on, so in 1989, there were a lot of big houses and tower blocks. I find the London style of architecture was beautiful in 1989. Well, actually I can agree with Prince Charles that the people must not be allowed to forget the past of architecture but on the other side I find the "Frankenstein" metaphor is not appropriate for the year 1989.
