ich möchte ein praktikum in London machen und wollte euch bitten meine Bewerbung anzuschauen, ob es in Ordnung ist.
Aber mein englisch ist nicht das beste .... villt könnt ihr mir helfen, die bewerbung zu korregieren.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am currently studying human medical at the University of Regensburg, presently in the 4th semester. For the conclusion of my studies, I am required to attend a 90-days work placement in a hospital. I have already done 30days in a children´s hospital in Germany. Therefore I have work experience as practical nursing. If possible, I would like to join your hospital 60 days.

The placement should take place within the period from begin of august until end of September 20xx, during which I want to stay as long as possible.

I did my Graduation Abitur in a Grammar school in 200x. Abitur is approximate equivalent of British A-level/ Australian VCE / and/or a combination of American high school diploma and SAT-exam).
The emphasis was on biotechnology and mathematics.
During my Abitur I did weekly a four –hour biotechnology placement. After my Graduation I began the second year of training as biotechnology- Assistant. During the year of training as BTA I have learnt how to work in a Team and independently.

I have already done 30days in a children´s hospital in Germany. Therefore I have work experience as (a) practical nursing which I would like to use in your hospital, if possible for 3 month. (Vielleicht möchten sie noch gerne wissen, wie deine Englischkenntnisse sind, was du hier dazunehmen könntest)

The placement should take place within the period from the beginning of August to the end of September 20xx, during which I want to stay as long as possible. ((Ist der unterstrichene Teil vielleicht übeflüssig oder möchtest du länger als 3 Monate bleiben? Das ist nicht ganz klar.)

In 200x, I completed my Abitur (university entrance diploma) at a grammar school which is approximate equivalent to the British A-level. / Australian VCE / and/or a combination of American high school diploma and SAT-exam).
(Da du du dich für London bewirbst, reicht British-A-level)
The emphasis was on biotechnology and mathematics. During my Abitur I did a weekly a four –hour biotechnology placement of four hours per week. After my Graduation I began the second year of training to become a biotechnology- assistant. During the year of training as BTA I have learnt how to work in a team and independently.

Application for a work placement as a? practical nursing (a practical nursing ist ok, wenn es "als Praktika Krankenschwester" heissen soll)

 
 
Eine "practical nurse" ist eine ausfuehrende Krankenschwester. In einem Krankenhaus handelt es sich hier um eine Krankenschwester die (noch) keine volle Krankenschwesterausbildung hat, die ist sozusagen eine ausfuehrende Krankenschwestergehilfin. In einer normalen Arztpraxis ist eine "practical nurse" eine Arzthelferin. Daher stimmt deine Anmerkung "Praktika Krankenschwester" leider nicht, joy.
 
Wenn du dich als Krankenschwester Praktikantin bewerben moechtest, dann schreibe lieber
 
"Application for a work placement as practical nurse" oder "Application for a work placement as practical nurse trainee".

darf ich mal ehrlich sein.. rein aus persoenlicher Sicht weil ich u.a. auch im Personalwesen gearbeitet habe? Ich will dich nicht beleidigen, aber meine Ansicht nach ist das mit einer der lustlosesten und unambitionierten Berwerbungen, die ich seit langem vor mir hatte. Du bringst hier das Gefuehl rueber, dass du dieses Praktikum eigentlich ueberhaupt nicht machen moechtest, es aber machen musst, damit du deinen Studienabschluss erhaelst. Ich wuerde das Schreiben noch einmal ueberarbeiten und versuchen zu zeigen, dass du den Job wirklich willst.  
 
Schreibe zum Beispiel wieso du ausgerechnet bei ihnen das Praktikum machen moechtest, was du zu ihrem Team beisteuern kannst etc.

Ich dachte, bei Zeitangaben sagt man "to" und nicht "until" - liege ich da falsch?
"until" und "to" nimmt man bei genauen Zeitangaben, schau mal hier Zeitangaben

...equivalent of (or: to?) British A-levels Oder ist sowohl "of" als auch "to" möglich?
"equivalent to" nimmst du beim Verb (to be equivalent to), "equivalent of" nimmst du beim Nomen (the equivalent of).

@keswick: Ich danke dir auch . Ich werde mein Bewerbung noch mal überarbeiten, damit sie Motivierter klingt.

Noch eine Frage: Ich muss ein Pflegepraktikum machen und es ist in Ordnung, wenn Ich schreibe "practical nurse"? habe Ich es so richtig verstanden?

entschulidge die spaete Antwort, ich war beruflich unterwegs.

Pflegepraktikum, ich weiss leider nicht genau was das ist. Ist das ein Praktikum zur Pflegeschwester? Ich wuerde "practical nurse" im Anschreiben dennoch so stehen lassen.

Das Pflegepraktikum ist ein Praktikum für Medizinstudenten, in dem sie die Praxis in der Patientenpflege kennenlernen sollen.

Ah, das haette ich mir denken koennen, mein Bruder ist Krankenpfleger.

Dann kannst du Practical Nurse im Anschreiben dennoch so stehen lassen.
