Recommendation by the subject teacher
for applying to the ...
Oliver S. is in the 12th grade 2010/2011 at the Gaussschule in Braunschweig. Since 2009 I teach Oliver Mathematics on a higher level. I am going to examine Oliver in Mathematics he chose as one of four subjects for his written final exams of the Abitur (A-levels) 2011.
In each test Oliver wrote at my class – analysis, stochastic and vector analysis tests – he demonstrated his skills and reached generally 100% of the possible number of points, so he got mark 15 (A*). He convinced me with both the correctness and the description of the solutions. Many a time he exceeded the assignments of task and examined special cases or universalised his solutions.
This particular ability to describe, explain and reason issues is supported by his keen perception and expert knowledge.
Furthermore he often prepared extra tasks and accordingly presentations for his class. I.e. he showed the proof of the standard deviation, typeset it with a equation editor and presented the results his schoolmates.
In addition he has got a very good social behaviour. He is well integrated in his class and cooperative.
Besides school Oliver attends lectures at the Braunschweig University of Technology successfully. He already archived credits at analysis and linear algebra. Although for attending lectures he sometimes cannot participate the lessons, he has not got any deficit in knowledge.
In conclusion Oliver is a very kind pupil with a great talent in Mathematics!
I would appreciate it if he would get the possibility to study Mathematics at ...!
