Slavery

The life of a salve is horrobile. Without beds and enough to eat, a slave has to work the whole day. The work is hard and a slave gets only two shirts per year to wear. Slaves have no rights and they are not allowed to learn reading or writing. They only have to obey. And if they do not, they were whipped or they get an other terrible punishment. With slaves is traded as if they were goods. It is a real terrible slave trade. In addition, it seems to be a systematic oppression. Even the law is against the slaves' rights. So the brutal company with slaves is lawful.
I think it is really cruel. Slaves live every day in fear and despair. I cannot understand how a government could have allowed slavery in futher times.

Bist Du sicher, dass Du den Text in der Gegenwart schreiben wolltest? Geht es nicht vielleicht darum, das Dasein von Sklaven in der Vergangenheit zu beschreiben? Ich verbessere das mal dahinter und Du kannst dann ja das Richtige raussuchen, ja?!

And if they do/did not, they were whipped or they get/got another terrible punishment. Slaves were bought and sold as if they were goods. For many years there was a really terrible slave trade. In addition to that, it seems as if there existed a systematic oppression. Even the law is/was against the slaves' rights. So the brutal treatment of the slaves is/was lawful.
I think it is really cruel. Slaves had to live in fear and despair every day. I cannot understand how a government could allow slavery in bygone??? times.
