Ja, beides geht. In vielen Satzkonstruktionen wie diesen kann man das "that" weglassen. Eine genaue Regel dazu ist mir nicht bekannt. Aber im Zweifelsfall dann doch lieber das "that" benutzen, um den Nebensatz einzuleiten.Britta hat geschrieben:Frage:

You can only leave out the relative 'that' in a defining relative clause,i.e. the relative clause is essential to the meaning of the sentence, which doesn't make sense without it and the subject of the relative clause isn't the same as that of the main sentence such as in:
The book that has been ordered is not the one that/which/- I had in mind.
Here we have I as the subject of the relative clause which is not the subject of the main sentence the book.
