12.00    Joanna Thompson wrote the book “England Calling”. She was born in 1970 in a little town in Scotland. (Scotland is a part of Great Britain together with Wales, England and North Ireland.) After school she studied law and linguistics, in German it is Rechtswissenschaft
 
and Sprachswissensschaft. Later she worked in many countries like Japan, Russia and Poland as an English teacher.
She always loved to travel around the world. Her first trip to Berlin was 20 years ago. Later she got the chance to work in Berlin. She got to know her husband a German and got two beautiful children, a boy (seven years old) and a girl (four years old). They are both raised up bilingual. Once a friend asked her whether she wanted to be an author and she agreed, since 2008 she works for the “Thienemann Verlag”.
