Vielleicht findet sich jemand, ist so nett und schaut mal ueber den nachfogenden Text. Ich waere wirklich sehr dankbar!

Zwickau has been well known as a city of automotive engineering. The students of the UAS Zwickau have wanted to continue this tradition. Hence they founded the WHZ Racing Team in 2006. The team consists of approximately 50 eager students from different fields of study, e.g. electrical engineering, automotive engineering, marketing as well as finance. Each team member is assigned to one of the 8 departments of the WHZ Racing Team which work all closely together.
The first car developed by the team was the so-called FP107. The letters “FP” in the naming stand for “Formula Project” and the following numbers represent the stage of evolution as well as the year of development. Followed by the FP107 the FP208 was a great success within the Formula Student competition. The team participated in all European contests (Great Britain, Germany, Italy) and won the awards “Most Innovative Use of Electronics” awarded by Bosch Engineering GmbH and “Best Loom Award” awarded by Magneti Marelli in 2008. Driven by the experiences gained from the FP208-project the WHZ Racing Team developed the third car, the FP309 in 2009. With awards for the best chassis and for the best use of adhesives the race car showed its great potential and in addition the team established itself as a serious opponent within the Formula Student. Now the 4th car is finished and the team is keen to unleash the FP410 on the race track. The whole team as well as the Sponsors are looking forward seeing the car competing against the other teams.

Das ging aber fix. Vielen Dank dafuer! Jedoch habe ich wie schon angedroht noch eine Frage dazu.

Kurz zur Erklaerung: In der besagten Stadt wurden frueher die legendaeren Horch gefertigt. Daher war die Stadt bekannt fuer den Automobilbau. Dieser Bekanntheitsgrad liess langsam nach und daher wollten die Studenten diesen wieder aufleben lassen.
Ist dann nicht eigentlich das Present Perfect anzuwenden? Schliesslich handelt es sich doch um eine Sache die in der Vergangenheit geschehen ist (der Automobilbau, welcher dann eingestellt wurde) und eine Auswirkung auf die Gegenwart hat (die Studenten haben beschlossen das Team zu gruenden).

Weiterhin:

Formula Student ist ein Wettbewerb und somit ein Eigenname. Somit muss er doch eigentlich gross geschrieben werden?

I must say! you have done a brilliant job here but just a small correction that could also make it sound a little better.

Following the FP107 was the FP208, which was a great (huge) success within the Formula Student competition.

"Within" makes it sound like it probably wouldn't have been a success anywhere else. So if thats what you mean then go ahead and use it.
The FP107 was then followed by the FP208, which proved itself to be a huge success in the Formula Student competition.

AND last but not least ...
You may leave the last sentence as it was, apart from the following corrections: Now the 4th car is finished and the team is keen to unleash the FP410 onto the race track. The whole team, as well as the Sponsors are looking forward to seeing the car competing against the other teams.
