brauch mal Hilfe, soll den Dialog ins Reported Speech ändern.

Policeman: Sorry Miss. You can't park your car here. Don't you see the no parking sign over here?

Jane: Yes, but I have to park here. My TV set is out of order and I'm taking it to that radio and TV shop over here.


Reported Speech:

The policeman said sorry miss. You could not park your car there. Didn't you see the no parking sign over there?

and Jane answered yes, but I had to park there. My TV set was out of order and I was taking it to that radio and TV shop over there.

Jane answered that she saw the sign. She said that she had to park there.
She said that her TV set was out of order and that she was taking it to that radio and TV shop over there.

Ist das richtig? Nicht ganz!!! Sieh mal, Du musst Dir vorstellen, dass Du als Beobachter die Szene ansiehst und hinterher Deinem Kumpel davon erzählst. Wie eine kleine Geschichte:

The policeman said to the young woman that he was sorry, but that she couldn't park her car there and whether she didn't see the no parking sign over there.

The young lady answered that she did, but that she had to park there, because her TV set was out of order and she was taking it to that radio and TV shop over there.

also erstmal wollte ich mich entschuldigen dass ich die Sätze nicht voll ausgeschrieben habe. Ich bin es gewohnt, einige Buchstaben einfach wegzulassen, das geht dann einfach schneller. Aber ich verstehe die Bitte und gehe ihr auch gerne nach.

Und danke euch für die schnelle Hilfe, jetzt habe ich es auch verstanden. Ich habe vergessen mir vorzustellen dass ich ein Beobachter bin und jemandem davon erzähle. Ein sehr guter Einwand und sehr gut zu merken. Danke!

Was ist denn mit so kleinen Worten wie "O.K." oder "Thank you"? Können die so bleiben oder muss ich die auch umändern?

"O.K." steht ja meist am Anfang einer Aussage, das kannst Du einfach weglassen und "thanks" kannst Du oft einfach in die Formulierung mit einbeziehen.

Pete:"Ok, Doris, I will take you to the station tomorrow."
Pete said (that) he would take Doris to the station the next day."

Doris:"Oh thank you, darling. You are a real friend!"
Doris thanked him saying that he was a real friend.

Ok, ich verstehe, aber das Problem ist, dass ich das "thank you" einbauen soll mit "Jane answered..."

Also soll ich schreiben "Jane answered thank you (to him)" ? Klingt aber irgendwie nicht so schön.

Ist so auch nicht richtig, denn es wäre ja dann eine direkte Rede ("ich danke Dir") in Deiner indirekten Rede.

Wenn Du es nun unbedingt einbauen musst, dann muss es schon heißen:
Jane answered that she thanked him and...

Aber schön ist das nicht und ich glaube auch, dass es nicht sehr gebräuchlich ist, eben, weil es umständlich ist. Aber wenn es so verlangt wird: Bitte sehr, dann machen wir es so, nicht?
