Nach der mitten in der Wirtschaftskrise Anfang 2009 bekannt gegebenen "Strategie 2018" plante VW, bis 2018 in China zwei Millionen Autos zu bauen und zu verkaufen. Das Zwei-Millionen Ziel wird VW nun aber voraussichtlich in ein bis zwei Jahren erreichen, sagte der scheidende Chinachef Winfried Vahland am Mittwoch.

The construction should start in Foshan this year; from 2013 should come 300.000 cars out of the production line a year, according to Winterkorn. After announcing the “Strategy 2018” in the middle of the economical crisis 2009, planned VW to build and to sell two million cars in China by 2018. Now VW will achieve the two million aims in probable one until two years, said Winfried Vahland the retired CEO on Wednesday.

Nach der mitten in der Wirtschaftskrise Anfang 2009 bekannt gegebenen "Strategie 2018"...

Ich frage mich, ob es nicht "According to the "Strategy 2018", announced in the middle of..."

heißen muss. Das ist doch sicher nicht temporal gemeint, nicht?

relieve = verb, relief = noun, also "...will provide relief..."

Um die Wiederholung zu vermeiden, vielleicht:
"Construction in Foshan is scheduled to start this year..."
