Wie sagt man in einer mdl. Englischprüfung, dass man nicht mehr weiter weiß?

Hi cydox und willkommen im Forum!

Je nachdem, ob Du auf eine eher lockere Schule gehst, kannst Du entweder sagen:

"I'm stuck, I'm afraid." (umgangssprachlich: Ich hänge fest, stehe auf dem Schlauch, fürchte ich.)
oder
"I seem to have lost the thread." (Ich scheine den Faden verloren zu haben.)
oder
"I really don't know what to say, I'm afraid." (Ich weiß nicht, was ich noch sagen soll.)
oder
"That's about it, I suppose. I can't think of anything else to say." (Das wäre es wohl soweit. Mir fällt nicht mehr ein.) -> dies ist auch wieder etwas lockerer.

Some teachers are very keen to see your oral communication skills and don't appreciate such an honest statement.
Therefore you might be better of talking, talking and talking until they stop you.

You should try to avoid a breakdown of communication at all times.

In a way it could also be a test to see how good you are able to handle certain situations.
So you might even be intentionally forced to try to change the subject of your communication.
Someone with good English skills can do that in a subtle or a more obvious way.

("to" ist auch richtig, aber in meinem Zitat muss es "for" heißen...)
