The rabbit and the hedgehog
It was on a Sunday morning in the fall a hedgehog met a rabbit.
“Good morning “said the hedgehog to the rabbit but he did not answered him.
“How come that you are running so early in the field?”
“I go for a walk, “said the hedgehog to the rabbit.
“Do not make me laugh, you and walking with your wrapped legs” said the rabbit.
“But I can run faster as you “.
“So these are a bet and win game!” said the rabbit and “Let us just begin. “
“No not so fast, I only go home said the hedgehog.
“Good” said the rabbit, “So until in two hours here on this field.”
At home the women made him big reproaches: “You have no chance”
But the hedgehog laughed only: “Let me just make it, I know what to do”
He said to his wife: "Take care, listen to me"
“You have nothing more to do as standing here in the furrow, and when the rabbit comes you have to cry "I am already here"
"Are you ready?" cried the hedgehog to the rabbit. "Yes, let’s go.
And they began to run, and when the woman saw the rabbit she cried: “I am already here!”
“This doesn't shut with right things.” thought the rabbit.

“Good” said the rabbit, “I will see you two hours later then, here on this field.”
At home his wife warned him with a voice full of reproach: “You have no chance”
But the hedgehog laughed only: “Let me just do it, I know what to do”.
He said to his wife: "Take care, listen to me"
“You have nothing more to do as standing here in the furrow, and when the rabbit comes you have to cry "I am already here".
"Are you ready?" cried the hedgehog to the rabbit. "Yes, let’s go”.
And they began to run, and when the woman saw the rabbit she cried: “I am already here!”
“There is something fishy going on here.” thought the rabbit.
“Let us try again” he cried and the hedgehog answered: “As often as you liked

Zu diesem Text habe ich selbst noch zwei Fragen:
1. Müsste in den Direktreden, wie hier, in der Kurzform geschrieben werden?
2. Wie kann man folgende Unsicherheiten ausmerzen?
Oft ändere ich etwas, weil ich einfach nicht sicher bin, ob der Engländer es nicht anders sagen würde.
Z.B. This doesn't shut with right things. Vielleicht ist dieser Satz ok, aber ich finde ihn so nicht in einem Lehrbuch.
Oder dieser:
At home the women made him big reproaches.
Dieser Satz ist für mich völlig in Ordnung und verständlich – aber finde nichts im Lehrbuch in dieser einfachen Weise. Deshalb habe ich ihn abgeändert.
Vielleicht hat jemand einen guten Tipp, wie ich solche Unsicherheiten ausmerzen kann?
