Wäre sehr erfreut wenn sich einer meinen verfassten Text näher unter die Lupe nehmen könnte. Bin mir ziemlich unsicher...

10 years ago, when I was a little boy, I had an experience I will never forget…
I am a 9 years old boy living in America. I fall ill with influenza and I has to stay in bed. My father is concerned and calls for the doctor. The doctor takes my temperature. My temperature is one hundred and two degrees. I am shocked, I was hopeless. I get some medicine, but I was not interested in any conversation. I was not interested in any surrounding, in any story. I believe my behauvior was very strangely. My father was very confused. He goes out for hunting some quail. I was alone, and I liked it. I wanted to see anyone, I was very afraid. My father takes my temperature again, it was still one hundred and two. I should take it easy, it is nothing to worry about, my father said. I did not understand,I was convinced that I have to die.But I was strong, I took it like a real man. My father was shocked and said that people never die from a fever of one hundred and two. I had heard something else from the boys in France. People will die when they get a fever over 44 and I had one hundred and two. My father began to explain the difference between the thermometers in America an Europe, which is the same with kilometers and miles. I was relieved, I no longer had to die. I quickly felt better. I no longer had to be strong. I enjoyed the attention for my mild flu.
In past it was a fateful misunderstanding, but today I have to laugh.

Hi Bambina und willkommen im Forum! :)
Bitte beachte, dass wir hier generell auf die Rechtschreibung achten, nicht nur im Englischen..., OK?

I was 9 years old then and lived in America. I fell ill with influenza and I had to stay in bed. My father was concerned and called for the doctor. The doctor took my temperature. It was one hundred and two degrees! I was shocked, my case was hopeless! I got some medicine, but I was not interested in any conversation nor my surrounding, or any story my father wanted to tell me. I believe, my behaviour (AmE behavior) was very strangely. My father was very confused. He went out for hunting quails. I was alone, and I liked it. I did not want to see anyone, I was very frightened. My father took my temperature again, it was still one hundred and two. I should take it easy, it were nothing to worry about, my father said. I did not understand it, I was convinced that I would have to die. But I was strong, I took it like a real man. I told my father. He was shocked and said that people never die from a fever of one hundred and two. I had heard differently from the boys in France. They had said that people died when they got a temperature over 44 degrees ... - and I had one hundred and two! My father began to explain the difference between the thermometers in America and Europe. He talked about the different measures and the difference between kilometers and miles. I was relieved! I did not have to die! I quickly felt better. I no longer had to be strong. I enjoyed the attention I got because of my mild flu.
It was a terrible misunderstanding then, but today I have to laugh about it.
Bleibe in einer Zeitform! Sonst eine nette Nacherzählung der Geschichte! Prima! :freu:
