Korrekturlesen Composition

Beitrag von Laubfrosch »

Guten Tag!

Life without a car - an option for you?

Today there are over 44 million cars on the world. This is a hugh burden for the environment because of the CO2 emissions which injures our planet. Most of the people in Germany have a car and we are glad to have one. But could it be an option to live without a car although is usual for us to have an own car?

Cars are one of the main trigger for the greenhouse effect. Because of their CO2 emissions our climate is getting hotter and hotter, poles are melting and some species are becoming extinct. If the peoples would renounce their car and go by bus, train or bike we could help the earth a lot. Public Transportation is a great way to go and it saves much emissions. The greenhouse effect could be stopped if everyone would use busses and trains.

An other argument for living without a car is that a lot of money goes into a car. The petrol prices are rising higher and higher and the worlds petrol resources are at their end so the prices will not fall in the future. Furthermore a lot of money goes away for parking. Everywhere you want to park your car you must pay for it much money. And also if your car is broken you have to pay for expensive spare parts and repairs. If you want to drive a car you also need a drivers license which costs a lot of money too. Summarized we can say that a car costs a lot of money. For example a bus ticket costs only a few Euros per month and you don`t have to pay for petrol, repairs, parking space and so on. Going by bus, train or bike bike can save a lot of money.

If you are driving by car you must watch for the traffic, signs, traffic lights and pedestrians. When you drive you lose time because you must drive and can`t do anything else in this time. If you are going by bus or train you could do whatever you want to do like reading books or newspapers, making homework or write letters. You can use your close time better than by driving your car.

An argument for a car is that you always have to wait for a bus or train except you go by bike. Many busses only drive every hour so you have to plan everything with the schedules. Sometimes the bus comes to late or not at all especially at the wintertime when some busses and trains be canceled because of snow.
Also you need much more time to go from A to B because the busses and trains are slower than a car. Sometimes it takes twice as long as by car. If you live or work in a little village it could be possible that there is no bus or train station than you have to drive by car.

Finally we can say that it depends on your behavior and circumstances if you go by car or by public transportations. One possibility could be to drive by car to one of the “Park and Ride“ stations to park you car and go by bus or train to the city. It would be much better for the environment if more people would renounce their cars.
Vielen Dank schonmal...!!!

Life without a car - an option for you?

Today there are over 44 million cars in the world (or worldwide.) This is a huge burden for the environment because of the CO2 emissions which pollutes our planet. Most of the people in Germany have a car and we are glad to have one. But could it be an option to live without a car, although, it is usual for us to have an own car?

Cars are one of the main trigger for the greenhouse effect. Because of their CO2 emissions our climate is getting hotter and hotter, poles are melting and some species are becoming extinct. If we would all renounce our cars and go by bus, train or bike instead, we could help the earth a lot. Public transportation is a great way to go and it saves much emissions. The greenhouse effect could be stopped if everyone would use busses and trains.

Another argument for living without a car is that a lot of money goes into a car. The petrol prices are increasingly rising and the worlds petrol resources are running out so the prices will not fall in the future. Furthermore a lot of money goes away for parking. Everywhere you want to park your car you must pay for it much money. And also if your car is broken you have to pay for expensive spare parts and repairs. If you want to drive a car you also need a driving license which costs a lot of money too. Summarized we can say that a car is very expensive. For example a bus ticket costs only a few Euros per month and you dont have to pay for petrol, repairs, parking space and so on. Going by bus, train or bike bike is much cheaper.

If you drive by your own car you must watch for the traffic, signs, traffic lights and pedestrians. And you lose time because you must drive by yourself and cant do anything else during this time. If you travel by bus or train you can do whatever you want to do such as reading books or newspapers, making homework or writing letters. You can use your available time better by public transportation than by driving your car.

An argument for a car is that you always have to wait for a bus or train except you go by bike. Many busses only drive every hour so you have to plan everything with the schedules. Sometimes the bus comes to late or not at all especially in the wintertime when some busses and trains are canceled because of snow.

Finally we can say that it depends on your decision and circumstances whether you want to go by car or by public transportations. One possibility could be to drive by car to one of the “Park and Ride“ stations to park your car and then go on by bus or train to the city. It would be much better for the environment if more people would renounce their cars.

Today there are approximately 600 million passenger cars in the world (or worldwide.)
This is a huge burden for the environment because of the CO2 emissions which pollute our planet's atmosphere.

But could it be an option to live without a car, although, it is so normal for us to have an own car?

Cars are one of the main triggers for the greenhouse effect.
Because of their CO2 emissions our climate is getting hotter and hotter, polar caps are melting and some species are becoming extinct.
If we would all renounce our cars and use a bus, a train or a bike instead, we could help the earth a lot.

Furthermore, a lot of money is spent on parking too. Wherever you want to park your car you must pay a fee for it.
And if your car is broken you have to pay for expensive spare parts and repairs.
If you want to drive a car you also need to pay for a car insurance and a driving license which costs a lot of money too.
We can summarise that an own car is very expensive in comparison with a bus ticket which costs only a few Euros per month.

Public transport is a great option to reduce emissions.
The greenhouse effect could be curtailed if everyone used buses and trains.

If you are the driver of a car, you must watch the traffic, traffic signs, traffic lights and pedestrians.
If you travel by bus or train, you can do whatever you want to do such as reading books or newspapers, doing your homework or writing letters.
Using public transport helps you spend your time more effectively than driving your own car through the crowded streets.

But of course, there are also arguments for using private cars. One of them is that you always have to wait for a bus or train except you go by bike.
Some buses come only once an hour - so you have to plan everything in advance using a schedule.
Sometimes a bus is late or doesn't come at all.
This happens especially during the wintertime when some buses and trains are cancelled because of road conditions.
You also need much more time to go from A to B because the buses and trains are slower than cars.
Sometimes, using public transport takes twice as long as driving a car.
If you live or work in a little village, it is possible that there is no bus or train station. Thus, you have to drive a car.

"If we all relinquished our cars and used a bus, a train or a bike instead, we could help the earth a lot."

"Some buses come only once an hour"

Im Hauptsatz steht Conditional 1 (would).
MERKE: :watch: Im if-Teil des Satzes steht nie ein "would".
Schau nochmal hier nach: http://www.englisch-hilfen.de/grammar_list/if.htm

"Some buses come only once an hour"

Ja, "to travel" bedeutet nebst reisen, auch fahren.

I travel 40 miles to work every day
Ich fahre jeden Tag 40 Meilen zur Arbeit

aber wenn ich selber fahre:
I drive 40 miles to work every day (oder: go by car)

have a nice weekend
