A part of these comical elements are embodied in Sampson and Gregory, the two servants who makes a lot of jerks. These phrases are used to lighten the mood and to ensure that the funny mood hits the following tragical elements, which have reveal deep impacts on the surface of the readers. Such tragical parts of the play exists throughout the play. For example Romeo?s banishment to Mentua is such a deep feeling. Romeo, Juliet, the nurse and also friar Lawrence are overwhelmed by deep grief. All in all the plot of ?Romeo&Juliet? is a coexistence of a cheerfull and lighten mood and on the other side a tragical and severe mood. This coexistence plays a great role by the fact, that the audience had to stay at the theater a long time accordingly there has to be a tension build up and this mentioned coexistence of this good and bad mood keeps the tension so the audience kept in the theater all the time without going home.
Briefly we could say there are tragic and comic elements in Shakespeare?s ?Romeo&Juliet? all the time and serves as a tension-keeper (neologismus) to keep the audience in the theater. Furthermore this never-ending change of good and bad mood creates a new curiosity what happens next. So this changing of moods is a good feature to keep the audience in theatre and to make the plot more vivid and to create curiosity in the whole audience.
So, this is my first analysis of one feature of "Romeo&Juliet" from W. Shakespeare. Please answer me to all mistakes, I'm very interested.
