"to resolve" vs. "to solve"

mir ist der bedeutungsunterschied dieser zwei vokabeln leider nicht ganz ersichtlich. könnte mir bitte jemand auf die sprünge helfen?

"to solve" tut man bei Raetseln und sowas.

"resolve" wird meistens verwendet wenn es sich um einen Streit oder ein Problem bei der Arbeit handelt.
