How to learn English tenses - mnemonic devices

What is your experience in learning English tenses?
Do you know some mnemonic devices?

We are not looking for a list of tenses, but for hints how to keep them in mind and use them correctly.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Hey group,

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but there's a table with some of the commonly used English tenses and a list of keywords that are associated with each tense. So whenever you use one of these words in a sentence, it's pretty sure which tense you have to use. Not that anything is ever sure in the English language, but it's some sort of a starting point.
