The Grand Canyon is located in the south-west of the USA in the state of Arizona. It is one of the biggest natural wonders of the world. The deepest point is 1 mile between the top of the canyon to the Colorado River. The whole area has a wide of 277 miles. The canyons are between 7 and 32 miles wide. Since 1919 it has become a National Park.

The area of the Grand Canyon is famous for his special nature. That is the reason, why every year 4.5 million people visit it. There are a lot of possibilities to do for the visitors to spend a few days in and around the Grand Canyon National Park. For example you can visit the Skywalk. It is a platform, which overlaps with 22 meters the edge of the canyon above the branch of the Colorado River. The bottom of the Skywalk consists of glass, that means, if you walk above the Skywalk, you can see 200 meters deeper the bottom of the branch.
Another famous lookout is the Bright Angel Point, where you can see the Angels Window. Also for enthusiastic hiker there are a lot of paths to hike through the beautiful nature. And if you like water, you can also take a trip with a canoe to discover the Colorado River with its tall banks.
