Hallo Leute,
ich möchte mich zu Anfang kurz vorstellen:
Ich bin Abiturient aus Bayern und habe mich für das schriftliche Abitur in Englisch entschieden.
Nun hab ich mir gedacht, dass ich mich schonmal n bissel darauf vorbereiten sollte, da man englsich ja über die Zeit lernt und nicht wie Sport nur alles auswendig lernt.
Sollen am Mittwoch eine Zusammenfassung der kanadischen Geschichte schreiben und der unten folgende Text wäre die meine.
Bitte euch, sie mal auf Fehler und Auffälligkeiten durchzulesen durchzulesen.

1674 the french crown got the direct command and explored the area through the Gulf of Mexico. By this settlement the british fleecetrading get constricted and this causes growing pressures.
Initila there had been only sub-agent wars between confederated Indianclans but before the Seven Years War the hostility between France and England got clear. England won also because of it´s predominating armada. By Peace of Paris France ceded Canada and Cape Breton to England.
To alleviate the french population this takeover, the british allowed them religious liberty and the french civil law. After the American indipendence war 1783 many loyal Britains anglicized the french pressed country. This involved differences lead to a seperation into a british Uppercanada and french Lowcanada. The border between this two prvinces was the Ottawa river.
The USA tried vain to conquer Canada during the British-American-War in 1812. To be prepared for a later attempt, the british crown combined the provinces to one country and forced so also the national consciousness.
England´s target was it to reach a complete independend country and counted it 1919 as a own land in the League of Nations. 1931 Canada got sovereign but stayed as a part in the british Commonwealth.
As in the first WW Canada supported England also in the second WW this shows the tight collaboration among these two countries through the centuries.
During the Cold War Canada was working with the Americans and granted them to build militarybases.
Since 2001 the Canadian army has engaged in the Afghanistan War.
Retrospective you can say that Canada is a passiv country which doesn´t act, only react.

Hi Ballermann,

ich gucke nachher gerne noch mal drüber (jetzt habe ich keine Zeit mehr), denn da findet sich doch noch manch Fehlerlein. In der Zwischenzeit aber eine Bitte; sieh selbst noch mal nach, u.a. werden von Namen abgeleitete Adjektive groß geschrieben (England - English) und das ist doch wohl unwahrscheinlich, dass Kanada vom Golf von Mexiko aus erforscht worden ist, oder bin ich da ganz auf dem Holzweg? Und die Frage, ob Wörter zusammengeschrieben werden müssen oder nicht, kannst Du auch selbst klären, wenn Du sie mal in einem online-Wörterbuch eingibst... Also sieh noch mal genauer hin, solche Fehler müssen ja nicht sein, OK?

Welche zusammengeschriebenen Wörter meinst du den? Uppercanada? Im deutschen heisst es halt Ober- und Unterkanada...

Wörtliche Rückübersetzungen von Eigennamen sind nicht empfehlenswert.
Du hast doch die Möglichkeit online zu recherchieren. Nutze sie!

Hi Ballermann,
es ist jetzt schon recht spät und ich hätte eigentlich gehofft, dass Du in der Zwischenzeit mal ernsthaft eine Überarbeitung auf die Beine gestellt hättest. Wenn ich beispielsweise Deinen Satz mit dem Golf von Mexiko so missverstanden habe, wäre es dann nicht schlau, ihn noch mal zu überarbeiten? Und es sind so zahlreiche Fehler in dem Text, die wirklich nicht nötig täten, dass ich eigentlich gerne etwas mehr Sorgfalt von Dir sähe. Ich gucke gerne nach, aber gib Dir bitte noch mehr Mühe mit der Vorarbeit, OK?
