Danke
Robin Cook was a British Foreign Secretary. He gave a speech about Britain on 19, April, 2001. In his speech he tells us that the British are not a race, they are an assembly of different races. The majority of the people who live in Britain are not born there, so they are not native. But this is not a disadvantage because according to Robin Cook, the multiculturalism is the base element of Britain. You need relations with foreign countries to strengthen the economy and for the security of the nation.
Britain must greet (begrüßen) the newcomers but despite (trotzden) every country need firm but fair immigrants laws.
In his speech Robin also refers that Britain is the native land of 30 different ethnic groups which speak over 300 laguages. Britain must accept the pluralism because it brings cultural and economic advantages for the country. One of this advantages is the example of the airline of a European country, because the airline has been mislaid (wurde verlegt) to London because of the linguistig variety.
Chicken Tikka Massala is the true British national dish. This food explains (macht deutlich) that Britain is a multicultural mix because Chicken Tikka Massala is from India and is not a typical British recipe. All in all Britain is a cosmopolitan country, which is characterised by the different ethnic communities.
