Dear Sir or Madam,
I am applying for the Cultural Representative position within the Epcot Center in the Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando.
At the moment I am attending the ***** comprehensive school, Braunschweig, Germany, from which I will graduate in June 2010 with the Abitur.
I speak, write, and read German, and English fluently, and I also have basic knowledge in French.
Through my internships, and vacation jobs e.g. in the textile business, I could gain first experiences. Moreover my mother worked as a management assistant in retail business for years, and I sometimes helped her whereby I could gain a valuable insight in that sector.
It is my dream to work in the Walt Disney World Resort because Walt Disney movies mean a lot to me. These movies impressed my childhood and taught me the meaning of love, moral, and friendship.
When Walt Disney planed to built the Walt Disney World Resort, it was his greatest desire to bring joy and happiness to the people. So it is my dearest wish to become a part of the Disney World Resort staff, helping that the dream can go on.
For years I have been dreaming to go to the U.S.A., to improve my English skills, and to see the American way of life.
I checked several programs against each other but I knew immediatly that the Cultural Representative Program is the very thing for me because I’d like to study tourism one day.
My favorite school subjects are English, German, and acting which also give a link to my hobbies: acting, singing, reading, swimming and improving my English skills. I do all these things with great zeal but my concentrated passion is for acting.
I am highly motivated, able to withstand stress, and flexible. Furthermore I have a cheerful and bright personality.
I am confident that I can perform the job effectively, and I am excited about the idea of working for your company.
Yours faithfully,
