"to fill sb. in on sth." means that you inform him or her about something, in your example, somebody wants to know your (or your friend's) phone number.

"to fill in" means "ausfüllen", for example a questionnaire or a form, or "ins Bild setzen, informieren".

My first thought was that someone asked your friend to keep him or her informed by phone
and therefore provided your friend with his or her phone number.

Ohja, Delfino, so kann man es auch verstehen.

Es hängt ganz davon ab, wie es in der Originalnachricht wirklich stand. Ich ging wohl davon aus, dass da gestanden hätte

"Fill me in: telephone number..."

Bei Deiner Lesart wäre es dann gewesen

"Fill me in: 0171....."

Aber ich denke, Chloe hat das Geheimnis mittlerweile sowieso gelöst, ist ja schon recht lange her...

Please remember to use proper capitalisation when using the term mobile VoIP.
The extension of mobility to a Voice over IP network is called mobile VoIP or simply mVoIP.
It is a technology and not the name for the information used to reach people.

Btw. you didn't need to add anything in my post because in technical documents the VoIP subscriber's id
is also called telephone number, phone number or just number.
