Friendship- Homework
“Be honest. Your friend wants your opinion. Give your honest opinion. Perhaps your friend doesn’t want that answer, but in the end it’s better.”
„Become a Football Star“
My brother Mike and his friend David went to our School one day in summer, because they wanted to play football at the sports ground.
Mike is a very good footballer and I think he is almost so good like the famous kicker here in England.
Maybe David always thought that he’s also an impressive kicker like Mike because they are the best friends since the 4th class.
Mike and David never needed more player than themselves, because they could have fun just together and always played until the night arrived the day.
Well, they went to the sports ground and began to play. They met every single day at the same place and the same time to play football.
But that day, it may be the last time where they played together.
I tell us right from the start now.
At this afternoon David told Mike something, which he always wanted to tell his best friend.
“Hey Mike, I want to be a Football star”, he began to tell. “I know, that I can do that, I mean look, I can play very good man and I think, that I should make it real now, you know I mean my dream to become a Football star.”
At first Mike did not really implemented what his friend told him in this moment.
But then he knew that David had a dream, which never can be true. Mike thought:” No, David can’t be serious to become a Football star. How I can tell him that he CAN’T play football? I don’t want to hurt him and I also never want to break his dreams. But I have to tell him that. He can play he can it but just at the basic level. How he can overrate himself so much?”
As a start my brother couldn’t say David the truth about his soccer competence and he just shut up and played. But after few minutes he broke up his silence and said:” Hey Dave, Maybe you want to be famous with your football and I really accept this but I want to say you that you don’t have any kind of talent by playing Football. Please don’t misapprehend me I love it to play with you I like it how we meet us and play the whole day while we talk about every :censored: but just as a hobby you know? Look I could never have enough bravery to make this footstep even if I can play good people told me that anyway.”
David didn’t understand his friend at the beginning. How could his best friend be soo jealous? “How you can be so cruel?” he said to Mike. “Why you can’t be happy about my wish? How can you talk so much rubbish?! I really wanted to tell you about it because I assumed that you would support me Mike.” So David left the sports ground sad and sat down at the street. Actually David knew that Mike didn’t mean it bad or nasty. And he also knew that Mike was right. He just had to think about it a little bit and then he had to accept the opinion of his friend. Not just an opinion concurrently it was a help to avoid a big mistake per false decisions. And it surely was a good animus from Mike.
Maybe if Mike didn’t tell him his own opinion about this, David could make himself distressing or something else what perhaps be not nice!
So, David decided to go back to Mike and apologize. Mike wasn’t angry or something like this. He said that he can understand David and his feelings after this conflict about his wishes and emotions. He also told David that he maybe would be so sensitive by this topic in which his whishes about the future could be destroyed.
After this little “argument” between my brother and his friend they both played along and forgot what happened.
At the end of the day before the boys went home David said: “Hey Mike thank you for your honest opinion and sorry that I was so childish to you. I should be more respectful to your view. Now I have to search a new course for the future. You’re the best friend, really you are. !” Mike laughed and just said:” Don’t care Dave. You don’t have to apologize but me. Let forget this. I don’t want to think about it okay? Wherefore we’re friends when we can’t overcome this kind of little discussions? Come let us go to me and eat, Mom definitely booked something very delicious!”

Friendship-Homework
“Be honest. Your friend wants your opinion. Give your honest opinion. Perhaps your friend doesn’t like your answer, but in the end it’s better.”
"Become a Football Star“
One day in summer, my brother Mike and his friend David went to our school, because they wanted to play football on the playing field.
Mike is a very good footballer and I think he is almost as good as some of the famous players here in England.
Maybe David always thought that he was an impressive kicker, too, because he and Mike have been best friends since the 4th class.
Mike and David never needed any players besides themselves, because they had fun together and always played until it got dark.
Well, they went to the playing field and began to play. They met every single day at the same place and the same time to play football.
But that day could have been the last day they played together.
Let me tell you the story right from the start.
On this afternoon David told Mike something, which he had wanted to tell his best friend for a long time.
“Hey Mike, I want to become a football star”, he began. “I know I can do it, I mean look, I can play very well and I think that I should make it come true now, you know I mean my dream to become a football star.”
At first Mike did not really understand what his friend had told him.
But then he realised that David had a dream, which would never come true. Mike thought:” No, David can’t be serious about becoming a football star. How can I tell him that he CAN’T play football? I don’t want to hurt his feelings and neither do I want to shatter his dreams. But I have to tell him that. He can play alright, but only as an amateur, just for fun. How can he overestimate his abilities like that?”
At first my brother couldn’t bring himself to tell David the truthabout his soccer competenceand so he just shut up and played on. But after a few minutes he brokeuphis silence and said:” Hey Dave, I really accept that you want to be famous as a footballer, but I just have to tell you that you are simply not talented enough for that. Please don’t misunderstand me! I loveitto play with you! I like meeting and talking and playing with you the whole day long, but just as a hobby, you know? Look, even I would never dare to take this step. Although many people have told me that I'm a good player.”
David didn’t understand his friend at first. How could his best friend be so envious? “How can you be so cruel?” he said to Mike. “Why can’t you be happy about my wish? How can you talk such rubbish?! I really wanted to tell you about it because I thought you would support me, Mike.” So David sadly left the playing field and sat down at the street. Actually, David knew that Mike hadn't meant to be bad or nasty. And he also knew that Mike was right. He just had to think about it a little while, and then he would be able to accept his friend's opinion. It was more than just an opinion, really, it helped him to avoid a big mistake. And surely Mike had his best interests at heart.
Maybe, if Mike hadn't told him his own opinion about this, David would have ended up distressed or something bad would have happened!
So, David decided to go back to Mike and apologize. Mike wasn’t angry or anything like that. He said that he could understand David and his feelings after this conflict about his wishes and emotions. He also told David that he probably had reacted so sensitively, because the topic concerned his whishes about the future.
After this little “argument” between my brother and his friend, they played on and forgot what happened.
At the end of the day, before the boys went home, David said: “Hey Mike, thank you for your honest opinion and sorry that I was so childish. I should have respected your point of view. Now I'll simply have to look for a new plan for the future. You’re the best of friends, you really are!” Mike laughed and just said:”It's OK, Dave. You don’t have to apologize to me. Let's forget this. I don’t want to think about it, anymore, okay? What kind of friends would we be, if we couldn't overcome a little discussion like that? Come, let's go to my place and eat. My mom is sure to have cooked somethingverydelicious!”
Good luck says
