Bewerbung für TCD

Beitrag von roseclub1511 »

Hey Leute,
es wäre wirklich super, wenn Ihr mal kurz drüber gucken könntet und mir gegebenenfalls Tipps zur Verbesserung bzw nicht angesproche Aspekte mitteilen würdet.
Schonmal im voraus Danke!! :)
1.Begin by explaining the relevance of your life / educational experience to your application and state your educational goals and objectives.

Right from the beginning since I discovered the BESS course I was amazed by the wide range of subjects. More and more I get the impression that it is especially today not enough to be specialised in one certain subject but to have a knowledge in different areas. As a result of globalisation especially business, economics and social studies cannot be seperated but have to be understood as one in order to understand the problems we are facing today.

As I am doing the German Abitur I always had a wide range of subjects. This opportunity showed me that even a subject which was not my preference at first could arouse my interest the deeper we got into specific issues. More over by having the chance to study german and english literature along with history, philosophy and educational science I can say that they all complement one another and that subject comprehensive learning is the best chance to stay interested.
Therefore I am delighted that Trinity offers me the continuing ability to have a flexible and broadly based education.

More over I had the chance to participate in a 3 year programme named “ discover europe”. The project is a simulation of an international “summit” of pupils from Poland, Italy and Germany. We, as “official delegatees” of our country have worked and discussed in commitee- and plenar meetings on resolutions about current problems of the european policy. This experience encouraged me even more to submit to Trinity for an interdisciplinary course since we have learned that the best solution for a problem is the one which covers more than just one area. More over this showed me that I can easily adapt to new circumstances and that I haven’t problems to get a long with someone.

My 3-month stay at an English boarding school in Sheffield gives me the confidence according to the time in Ireland and occurring problems.

Ever since I first learned about the BESS course I have been impressed by its wide range of subjects. Especially nowadays, it is not enough to be specialised in one certain subject, but it is necessary to have a thorough knowledge in different areas. Due to the globalisation, especially business, economics and social studies cannot be seperated, anymore. They should rather be understood as a unity, in order to understand and solve the problems we are facing today.

As I am currently doing the German Abitur, I have always been used to a wide range of subjects. This circumstance taught me that even a subject which was not my preference at first, could the more arouse my interest the deeper we got into specific issues. I would be most grateful if I were given the chance to study German and English literatures along with history, philosophy and educational science. I am sure that they all complement each other and that subject comprehensive learning (ist das ein Fachausdruck, dann wahrscheinlich besser in " "). is the best chance to stay interested.
Therefore, I am delighted that Trinity's BESS programme/course offers students the chance to receive a flexible and broadly based education.

Moreover, I had (ist das Projekt jetzt vorbei?) the chance to participate in a 3 year programme named “Discover Europe” (oder ist der Titel klein geschrieben?). The project is/was (s.o.) a simulation of an international “summit” of pupils from Poland, Italy and Germany. We acted as “official delegatees” of our country and discussed problems of current European policies. The project taught me that the best solution for a problem is the one which covers more than just one area. This experience encouraged me to submit an application to Trinity for an interdisciplinary course. On top of that, working in groups and discussing resolutions showed me that I can easily adapt to new circumstances and that I have no problems getting along with other people.

The recent?? experience of a 3-month stay at an English boarding school in Sheffield makes me feel confident to successfully face any occurring problems during the time of my studies in Ireland.

So, ich hoffe, dass es hilft!!!

Good luck says

Hi roseclub,
Pushing your own post doesn't work very well here.
Your "answer" removes the topic of your initial post
from the list of unanswered posts...

So be patient next time and remember,
we are all volunteers...

Btw. you can always try ask your current or former English teacher too.

1.a) Begin by explaining the relevance of your life / educational experience to your application
1.b) and state your educational goals and objectives.
...

As I am currently doing my Abitur, the German equivalent of a high school diploma, ...

educational science = Erziehungswissenschaften (ein Fach im deutschen Abitur?)

I know they all complement each other and
that cross-curricular teaching methods are the best way to keep students interested.

Name der Hochschule ist wohl
TCD = Trinity College Dublin?

also nicht nur Trinity schreiben...

:luck:
