My friend from the USA asked me, how I spent my New Year's. Could I write her my story in Past Simple? For Example, "I was in L. We cooked something from russian kitchen. Do you know salad "oliv'e" ? It's tasty and I did't want to miss it on New Year's Eve. I found the movie "The Irony of Fate" on youtube with English subtitles and we watched it together with german friends. It was very funny!!! At half eleven we came out and walked to Rhine..."
