The most important thing before you start your new life is to search a suitable accommodation. There are several opportunities:

The most expensive solution is an own apartment, but at the beginning it is better to live with college people, because they can explain you everything you want.
Methods of study
If you have found an appropriate accommodation, your college life will soon start and therefore you will have to learn a lot. The following methods can you help you, to reach good marks:
• Choose 2 or 3 other students who share your learning goals.
• Make a weekly study plan
• Communicate with you teachers, if you do not understand something
• Do tutorial exercises and work through examples
• Honour your emotional state and do not learn if you are tired, angry or in a hurry.
• Set reasonable goals.
These are just some tips which can help you, but everybody learns individual.
Ways of meeting people
It is not difficult to meet people when you study at a college. You just have to walk over the campus and you will meet a lot of people who are very communicative. If you are not shy, you will get to know many people in a short time, but do not be scared if you are not plain spoken, because the people will welcome you friendly. All in all you can say that it is impossible not to meet people in a college life and therefore do not be sacred and start it now!

I doesn't hurt to put the text in a certain context! Where and when is it going to be used?

I think, foreign people should have arranged their accomodation
well before they arrive here and get a chance to read your leaflet.

So you may want to include the local application date and
correct address to apply for a room in one of the halls of residence.

Include useful facts that make it obviously worth keeping the flyer for later reference
(e.g. a map showing the city including the marked way to university,
your contact information). Try to put in your knowledge about local ...

Anyway, here are few hints to improve the text:

Accommodation
The most important thing before you start this part of your life
is to find a suitable accommodation.

There are several opportunities:
• Living in a hall of residence / dormitory [BE/AE]
• Sharing a flat with friends
Renting an apartment

It is your decision and of course it depends how much money
you can and want to spend on accommodation.
The cheapest solution is to live in a dormitory
but of course there are some common rules you have to follow.
A shared flat can be a lot of fun,
but of course you have to share the kitchen and the bathroom with other people.
Although in many halls of residence you will have to do that too.
The most expensive solution is renting an apartment.
At the beginning it is better to live with other people from college,
because they can explain nearly everything you want to know.

Methods of study
After you have found an appropriate accommodation
you can focus on your studies. You will have to learn a lot.

The following methods can you help you to reach good marks:
• Choose 2 or 3 other students who share your learning goals.
• Make a weekly study plan
Ask your teachers, if you do not understand everything
Take part in tutorial exercises and work through examples
• Honour your emotional and physical state - so do not try learn if you are very tired, angry or in a hurry
• Set reasonable goals

These are just some hints which can help you,
but everybody has his individual methods to learn.

Ways of meeting people
It is not very difficult to meet people when you study at a college.
Walking over the campus you will meet a lot of people who are very communicative.
If you are not shy, you will get to know many people within a short time.
Do not be scared if your language skills are limited, because the people will welcome you friendly.
All in all I'd say that it is impossible not to meet people during your life at college and
therefore you do not be sacred. Start now!
Buying an apartment is something that only very few students can afford. ;)

I see. A full quote is not necessary unless you change something
and even then a partial quote is usually enough...
... therefore you do not have to be scared.
look it up in a dictionary :read:
