Meine bisherigen Übersetzungen lauten: 'why did you not tell us that you are ill?' I could read it trough the glas of the (krankenwagen) from her lips, when they were driving me into a hospital.

was moechtest du denn eigentlich sagen? Und das Wort Krankenwagen kannst du im Woerterbuch nachschauen.

Ich würde vorschlagen:

"Why didn't you tell us (that) you were ill?" Through the window of the ambulance I could lip-read her words as they were driving me to the hospital.
