It´s possible to exercise this job without any education. But you an proctising it by learning and with special courses.
If get the chance to perform, you have to spend many hours, money and a tecknical know-how in your career.
To expand your own knowledge, you can study at the Vibra School of Djing.
Now a days it´s very hard because the number of business verals are very high. Everyone wants to perform in the best clubs.

This job is unusally male-dominated.

My own opinion to this job
In my opinon is the job as a dj a very popular and interesting activity. He is famous like a star when be performs on stage. But I think that it´s very hard to handle your businen, because you get a lot of rivals. When I read the book a „ Dj Ambition“ I recognize the hard competition in this job. But the more thought of the money coulst change my mind to ecercise this job.

As a good DJ you should also have at least basic knowledge of the legal implications of your work.
The music you use during your public performances as a DJ needs to be properly licenced.
You may remember the fineprint on every normal DVD/CD/LP cover. Not for public performance.
Unauthorized Public Performance Prohibited!
A public performance occurs whenever sound recordings are played outside the domestic or family circle. Whenever,
a sound recording is played in a commercial environment, even if only one person can hear it, it becomes a public performance
and a fee is payable.
When you buy a DVD/CD/LP it only gives you the right to use it for private use such as playing at home or in your car.
If you wish to use it in a commercial environment, such as background music in a shop or during a public event
you require a licence from the rights owner which in this case is PPL in the UK, CASH in Hong Kong or GEMA in Germany.
Copyright subsists in musical work (melody) and literary work (lyrics) as well as sound recordings such as CDs.
Therefore you need to have proper licences for both.
