The report of Leon Trotsky, which was written in February 1917 is about Trotsky´s view of the events in 1917. At this time Leon Trosky was a Soviet Commissar of Foreign Affairs and the leader of the Red Army. The adressees are all people in Russia, especially these ones, who were against the Tsarist system, to tell them his opinion about the Tsarist system.

In the first lines Leon Trotsky talks about the question, why anybody tried to overthrow the Tsar. He says that the people wanted to overthrow him but anybody dared, because they don´t believe in theirselves.

The next lines describe the idea of the different classes. He mentiones the nobility, the bureaucracy and the bourgeoisie, who wanted to have a communist system, but without Rasputin.

In the next part the author describes the answer of the "state". It says "Take me as I am", that means they wouldn´t fulfil the demands of the people, instead the Tsarina sent an apple to the Tsar, which he should eat to strenghten his will. He shouldn´t give up, because he had not to grant a new constitution, because of unconfident people.

The last part of the report is about the reaction of the people. The author says that it was "malicious alienation from the country". In general the tzar´s family was very unpopular, except Rasputin, who was popular, because there always were many women around him, but that didn´t fulfil people´s demands. He mentioned that the Tsar learned about the situation on the summit of Petrograd, only then he saw how unconfident the people were with his system.

At that time Leon Trosky was a Soviet Commissar of Foreign Affairs and the leader of the Red Army. He adressed all people in Russia
especially the ones, who were against the Tsarist system, and explained his opinion about the Tsarist system to them.

In the first lines Leon Trotsky talked about the reasons of nearly everyone to overthrow the Tsar. He clarified
that the people wanted to overthrow him for a long time but nobody dared to do it. This was mainly
because no-one really believed that it could actually be done.

The next lines described the idea of the different classes. He mentioned the nobility, the bureaucracy and the bourgeoisie
who wanted to have a communist system, but without Rasputin. (Are you sure about the content of this sentence?)

In the next part the author described the answer of the "state". It says "Take me as I am", that meant none of the demands of the people
would be fulfilled. The Tsarina even sent an apple to the Tsar, which he should eat to strenghten his will. She suggested
that he should not give in by granting
a new constitution to those unconfident people.

The last part of the report focused on the reaction of the people. The author wrote that the events of history resulted in
a
"malicious alienation from the country". In general the Tsar's family was very unpopular, with the exception of Rasputin.
He was always surrounded by women, but he didn't fulfil the demands of the people either.

The author mentioned that the Tsar learned about the bad situation of the majority of his underlings during the summit of Petrograd.
Only there he could see how unsatisfied the people were with their current situation within the system.
