The association between music and poetic and its influence on the human world of emotions has engaged humans since time immemorial. That is why theoretical works about music from antiquity and the middle ages stood as the godfathers of allegoric and didactic composition in England of the 15th and 16th century. The rediscovery and reinterpretation of philosophical pieces during the Renaissance has guaranteed these pieces their place of honor in the Canon of English literature, in which ideas regarding the moral magnitude of music were always readjusted to the contemporary needs of conception of music.

In this exercise, the adopted theories will be examined through the application of careful attention to the emblematic symbolization of music. Subdivided in the main chapter...the Author investigates the balance between music, poetic and symbolism.

prima Übersetzung! Aber schwieriger Text, da hoch akademisch. Ich habe ihn ein wenig vereinfacht, besonders zu lange Sätze sind selbst dem englischen Akademiker ein Gräuel. Und ein paar Mal habe ich andere Ausdrücke vorgeschlagen. Hoffe, es hilft!
