Hey, es waere nett wenn jemand mal drueber schauen koennte.

Essay

“To Build a Fire” by Jack London and “Leiningen Versus the Ants” by Carl Stephenson are both about the Men versus the nature. The follow text will redescribe these both.
The first story describes the journey the man is taking to get to camp with his fellows. He goes on the journey just with his dog. He is not aware what can happen. While he recognizes dangers, however, he ignores the other signs of danger. He thinks he does not have to be careful.
In the other story there is a German planter in South Africa who has his own plantation. His thinks that the human brain is stronger than the elements. It just has to be aware of its power/streng. He believes also that he is prepared against the ants attack which is coming.
Both protagonists believe in themselves. They are both courageous and optimistic. But the way that they deal with the conflict is a bit different. Whereas the protagonist in the first story things that he can ignore the bad sings, Leiningen thinks that he is strong enough to get through the plague.
Both ways of dealing with the conflict are not usual. Leiningen has an interesting opinion about his brain and generally all brains, which exist. You could say that he like it that the ants come because he wants to prove how great and strong he is. About The way of dealing with the conflict in the other story I would say that this is farther imprudent even stupid.
Finally you can say that both are not quite right in the head.
