Guten Tag,
hab mal ne frage:
Man hängt hinter einen englischen satz noch das verneinte fragewort an wie zB
"The car is red, isn't it?"
soweit, so gut. Wie lautet es bei folgendem satz wie zB:
"The robot might have committed suicide, [mightn`d it?] <----???
sagt man "mightn't" ?
Danke für die Antwort,
MfG

James, this thread is about the so-called question tags, not contracted forms such as isn't, doesn't and so forth. Question tags are used to verify information that we think is true, or to check information that we aren't sure is true. Sometimes question tags are used for effect, when we are trying to be sarcastic.
Like I wrote the question tag "mightn't" does exist but it is hardly used these days.
