Hi everybody,
Thanked for answering my last questions. I'm sorry for making lots of questions.
Now, I've confused about just and its different meanings.
For example:
I've just started college. -> very recently
I just want to get her telephone number. -> only
I just can't imagine why she did that. -> really
That's just the type of computer I want -> exactly
It's hard to be just when you're angry. -> fair
How can I differentiate from among them? I don't know whether to explain clearly. There may some rule for it.
Thanks again,
Dan

Hi everybody,
Thank you for answering my last questions.
I'm sorry for asking so many questions.
Now, I'm a bit confused about the word just
and it's different meanings.
For example:
I've just started college. -> very recently {used as an adverb}
I just can't imagine why she did that. -> really
I just want to get her telephone number. -> only
It's hard to be just when you're angry. -> fair {used as an adjective}
That's just the type of computer I want. -> exactly
How can I differentiate the meaning of them?
I don't know how to explain it clearly.
There may be some kind of rule for it.
Thanks again,
Dan

I'm not aware of any rule regarding the meaning. It depends on the context...
You may also keep an eye on the word order in the sentence.
