Ich muss wegen einem Sprachaufenthalt einen Test im Cambridgs Advanced Stil ausfüllen. Nur leider habe ich bei dieser Übung keine Ahnung... =( Man muss Wörter so umformen, dass sie in die Lücken passen. Kann mir da jemand helfen?
Hier sind die Texte:

Das ist gar nicht so schwer wie es auf Anhieb den Eindruck macht. Ich gebe dir die Woerter nicht vor, sondern helfe dir nur mit dem ersten Satz, damit du einen Eindruck bekommst, was gemeint ist.
Erstes Wort: number
Erster Satz: As road traffic increased in Amsterdam at the beginning of the las century, the city started demolishing ...1... older structures in the city centre.
Ergebnis: As road traffic increased in Amsterdam at the beginning of the last century, the city started demolishing numerous older structures in the city centre.

Also, ich hab mal ein bisschen gegrübelt un im wörterbuch nachgeschlagen. Meine Lösungen wären:
Text 1:

3) approval (da bin ich nicht sicher, eigentlich müsste es doch das gegenteil sein, aber das finde ich nirgends
4) adviser

Ich bin gemein, ich weiss, aber es lohnt sich und ist besser, wenn du es selber loest.
Die ersten beiden Woerter stimmen jetzt. Die beiden anderen noch immer nicht.
signification ist es nicht, aber dennoch ein Nomen, das sogar aehnlich ist.
progression ist es nicht, das Wort im Satz bezieht sich auf "works"... also was wird gesucht?

Zu Satz:
1) Aber ""Chronicle of the cinema", ein bemerkenswerter Band der Geschichte des Kinos, ist ein informatives Werk, in dem keine Entwicklung irgendeiner Signifikanz/Wichtigkeit uebersehen wurde.
Es wurde also kein noch so kleines wichtiges Detail uebersehen. Besser waere diese Uebersetzung: [...]in dem keine wichtige Entwicklung uebersehen wurde.
2) Das Buch beginnt mit einem Kapitel ueber die erste historische Filmvorfuehrung, und arbeitet sich stufenweise bis in die Gegenwart.
Wie arbeitet es? Stufenweise. -> Ein Adverb: progressively
