What do the cartoons seem to be saying about people, machines and communications?

All the cartoons appear to be suggesting, that there are many problems with the current technology. Some of them [ cartoon 2 and cartoon 4 ] mentions the basic problems with TV, whereas cartoon 1. and 3. appear to be suggesting that many people have trouble with the modern communication technology. Many people seem to be overburden of the overwhelming functionality.
Personally I agree with the cartoon-messages. I think we have to reduce our desire for more comfort. If the technology-evolution will give us an “all-in-one device suitable for any purpose”, then will be the only duty we have, is to feed the machine with energy.

All (the) cartoons appear to be suggesting, (that) there are many problems with the current technology. If the technology-evolution will give us an “all-in-one device suitable (better: "usable" or "appropriate") for any purpose”, then will be the only duty we have, is will be to feed the machine with energy.
One thing:
"Many people seem to be overburdened of by the overwhelming functionality."
I'm not quite sure if the use of "overwhelming" is right in this context. It surely could be used for that, but I think there'S a better word. Maybe a Moderator should comment on that.

Well done. Just one thing that also my English-teacher used to tell me over and over again... the use of the word "that" isn't as neccessary as in the German language. If you address one specific thing or a person, a "that" is definately needed to connect the sentences, but in many cases this word is simply an unneeded addition. It isn't wrong to use it and everybody knows what you mean, but it's just unneccessary. Just an info by the way... :)
Furthermore the only major mistake was the correct word order in the last sentence with the mixture of tenses. Keep an eye on that. :)

Mobile tracking reveals spending
This comment deals with the option of mobile tracking systems and therewith I want give a critical view on it. The new location- and tracking management system that integrates on key idea, namely, temporary mobile subscriber identity [ TMSI ] based on a transmitted anonymous identifier that been used for tracking- and movement profiling. The results should be useful for research, security and improving services in environments ranging from train stations to refugee camps.
First of all, we have to appreciate that this new technology is obviously a case of intrusion of privacy. Unlike the point is mentioned by Sharon Bigger, you can use the internet-connection over a proxy-server and therewith your connection is absolutely anonymous. Mobiles are assigned a temporary anonymous number by the network called a temporary mobile subscriber identity [ TMSI ] which the mobile periodically transmits to advise of its location. You cant decide to participate or not. One could argue that working against criminal activity like detecting contraband mobiles in prison and tracking or blocking these connections is important, but this is an advantage only with use of minor. The majority of subscribers want to be private.
Another significant point is the precision of about a meter or two and that the company is involved in several market research projects. It appears to me, that market research is the main reason for that research.
Weighing the pros and cons I came to the conclusion, even if the specific TMSI at the first glance is “completely anonymous”, connecting the collected data to the provider data will make it easily personal. How easy this could happen you can imagine if you look at the recent German TELEKOM scandal where millions of mobile user data attain to the internet. Furthermore, in times of dwindling commodities there are other urgent duties and responsibilities for research, as buying patterns for things which are mainly not really necessary.
In summing up it can be said that to protect your privacy and stay anonymous, switch off your mobile. In this case we can learn from criminals – they switch off, too!
