Are the college years the best time in a person’s life?
I agree with this statement, because of the following three reasons convincing me a long time ago.
First of all I would like to point out that the college time is a new part of an exciting and wonderful life. You meet new people, find some friends and discover a new city and are far away from your family. However, one of the reasons is that the college years are different to the highschool years, due to you have to be more independent and assiduous. Moreover, the students should have discipline, otherwise they not finish their college years successful.
On the other hand it is a chance to prove their independence and discipline.
Second, you meet a lot of new fellow students and make with them some party or relax together. Therefore the college years are not pall and you have a lot of fun with your fellow students. Primarily you don not become homesickness specially, if you are far away from your whole family and your best friends.
My last reason is that you have to work in the meantime, because you need money for the college and for the apartment. Particularly you get more knowledge and experience in these years and see into the world of work.
In conclusion the college years are exciting and fascinating, because you meet new people and get new friends. You have to be independent and have to earn money for the college and the apartment. On the one hand the college years are very stressful and funny on the other hand.

friends and discover a new city, which is usually far away from your family.

time in highschool is that you have to be more independent. Moreover,
the students need to focus on their studies, which requieres a lot of
self-discipline, otherwise they won't finish their higher education in time /
successfully. On the other hand it is a chance to prove to themself
that they are ready for the challenges of life.

Second, you meet a lot of new fellow students and make
some friends on the way to your degree too. With them
you can have parties or just relax together. Therefore
the college years are not only about studying, you can
also have a lot of fun with your fellow students. Keeping
a good relation with the people and friends in your new
environment can help to overcome initial homesickness
or prevent it all together. You may still miss your family
and best friends, which live far away, but it is not so hard
anymore.

My final reason is that you probably have to work regularly
or at least some times, because you need money to pay for
the study fees and for the rent of your apartment. This requires
good time management skills, but it allows you to gain some
further knowledge and work experience in the particular area
of your work during these years at college.

In conclusion the college years are exciting and fascinating time,
because you meet new people and find new friends. Together
you study and hopefully have some fun too. You have to learn
to be independent and therefore need to earn money to pay for
all your expenses especially the college fees and the rent for an
apartment. Therefore your time in college / at university
is very stressful, but you should also have some fun.
