reported Speech

Hi Ich bräuchte dringend eure Hilfe. Ich schreibe morgen eine Englisch Arbeit. Jetzt habe ich ien Problem mit reported spech.

Wenn jetzt z.B so ein satz da steht:

Mary, "Are you going to let me in or aren`t you?"

wie setzt man den jetzt in reported speech

heißt das dann,

Mary asked me, if i was going to let her in or not
oder
Mary asked me, if i was going to let her in oder wasn`t i.

was is jetzt richitg. oder gar keins.

bräuchte dringend eure hilfe bitte.

"If I was going to let her in or not" would sort of be ok.

A note on general grammer, in English we have less strict rules about commas(,) than in German. A comma here:


"Mary asked me, if i was going to let her in or not"

does not sound right.

NOw I am going to bed... Schlaf gut! War das richtigen?
