Hallo,
könntet ihr mal bitte folgende Text kontrollieren?
Wäre super nett
Summary:
Terry is a 14 year-old boy who lives in a small town with his mother and his sister. He writes letters to his idol Bruce Springsteen to tell him about his life and his problems.
His father has been gone away to start a career as a musician in a country music band, which became very successful.
Terry also dreams about playing in a band so he decides to learn to play guitar and he works very much for it.
He has some problems at school passing the 9th grade at school but he makes it through all of the tests, even through the math test, which he is having great problems with (he and his math teacher hate each other).
Terry is in love with a girl from school who calls him but he does not find the right words and sounds like an idiot to her. In the summer vacations he spends most of the time with his friend Sean. When he figures out that his parents are getting divorced he's very sad but he knows where his father lives and so he decides to visit his dad in Callum. Because his father does not write him so often they made a deal and from that point on his father writes him more often then. Sean, Terry and Kirkland (their guitar teacher) are planning a lip-sync concert (a concert where the music comes from a playback and the artists only move their lips) to get some money to give it to the Smiths (a family in Terry's neighbourhood who are very poor because their house burned down).
At the end of the story Terry's mother marries her new boyfriend.
My opinion:
I like the book because it's written very interesting and it's easy to understand and also has got a vocabulary-section. The author wants to show that teenagers should talk about their problems so they can get along with them more easy.

has been gone ist passiv aber ich glaub das soll aktiv sein
His father has gone away
(he and his math teacher hate each other). Daraus würde ich lieber nen richtigen vollständigen Satz machen.

hi, ich muss dazu sagen ich bin kein English freak aber
den Satz find ich etwas seltsam
Because his father does not write him so often they made a deal and from that point on his father writes him more often then.
Since his father hasn't often written Terry he has had an argument with his dad and from that point on his father has been writing letters quite often.
Ohne Gewähr!!
Vielleicht kann einer von den Moderatorn was dazu sagen?

Are you saying he visits his father, confronts him about never writing letters, after which his father promises to write more?] Sean, Terry and Kirkland (their guitar teacher) are planning plan a lip-sync concert (a concert where the music comes from a playback and the artists only move their lips) to get some money to give it to the Smiths (a family in Terry's neighbourhood who are very poor because their house burned down).
