"2 minute speak" Correct?!?

Beitrag von benjih01 »

Hi,

Hier mein Text:

My own quad-bike called Yamaha yz 125 cubic is a high end racing quad-bike.
On of the last 2-stroke engine quad bikes in the sector!
It has 45HP and an exact weight of 82kilogram
It needs less than 3.5 seconds from 0 till 100 kilometres, a really incredible acceleration,
You can underbit these 3.5 seconds but the factor human doesn’t allow it, nobody can handle that!
Maximum speed is 120 kilometres per hour, because of the short gear ratio.
The maximum engine speed is 20000 rpm, for comparison only, an ordinary car gets not more than 7000 rpm.
I prefer riding on moto-X tracks, but sometimes after new engine settings, other tires
or just for fun, I ride across the landscape around our village, nearly no one gets worry
about that.
The best day is Saturday because there are lots of farmers who make noise, too so no one recognizes me!
But on Sunday it is impossible, Sunday is the holy day for everybody in my village of 40 souls, so if the Sunday peace get disturbed you are a dead person I did it once in my life….the next 3 weeks no one said hello or good day!

But in these days I cant! A hunter caught me when I was adjusting a screw, I didn’t noticed him before he was standing right in front of me.
He knew my name because on the countryside everyone knew everyone, so he gave a talk about the ordinary things to me…….I alarm the huntable wildlife yeah and now if he see me once again he makes a complaint to me.
One day after that I just did a short ride but after a middle jump my axle broke because I landed very wrong.
Ever after my quad-bike is standing in the garage like in the picture.
Yesterday I get a used axle from eBay. And if I got time this week I try to make the Yamaha ready to race!

I think motorsports like motocross have no future because environmental problems and those
bikes with no exhaust fumes norm or catalyser cannot agree.
Many moto X circuits get closed every second weekend because the environmental agent says
“No!To much exhaust fumes”
So the motorcycle industry have to act!

Thx in advance.
Yours sincerely benjih01

I decided to rewrite -- I'm a native American English speaker - So, this might sound a little weird in class (if you're learning British English). My notes are in red.

---

My quad bike is a Yamaha YZ 125 cc [cc means cubic centimeter - in terms of engines it's pronounced "see see"].
It's a high end racing quad bike and one of the last 2-stroke quad-bikes in the segment.
It has 45 hp and weighs exactly 82 kilos.
It's really fast too: it goes from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in less than 3.5 seconds. [Auf Deutsch: time before place - Auf Englisch: time last.]
[underbit? ummm... ??]
The maximum speed is 120 kilometers per hour because of the short gear ratio.
The maximum engine speed is 20,000 rpm, for comparison, an ordinary car is only 7000 rpm.
I prefer riding on Moto-X tracks but sometimes after I change the engine settings or put new tires on I like to ride around the area near our village. Nobody seems to mind.
The best day is on Saturday because there are a lot of farms who make noise, so nobody notices me. [to recognize would be to see you in a room - to notice would be to see that you are making noise.]
But on Sunday it is impossible to ride! Sunday is a Holy Day in my village of only 40 people [souls is used generally only in books, when ships sink, or when airplanes crash: "242 souls aboard"] and if the peace is disturbed the whole village gets very upset with you. I did that once and nobody spoke with me for 3 weeks!

But these days I can't [can't what? can't ride? can't make noise?] ride.
While I was busy adjusting a screw, a hunter sneaked up on me. I didn't notice [I did not notice... not noticed.]him until he was standing right in front of me.
He knew my name because in a small village everyone knows everyone. [Knows, because: they did not *stop* knowing who everyone else is. Knows indicates a continual action, that they knew, know and will continue to know. Past, present, and future.] He talked with me about how I scare the wildlife away that he wants to hunt. [I would almost never use the word "huntable"... ] Even now, if he sees me, he complains to me.
One day after that I did just a short ride, but after a middle jump my axle broke because I landed completely wrong.
Now, my quad bike is sitting [things sit, people sit & stand. 1 exception: cars can "stand" when someone is sitting in it with the engine on - but this is a special case.] in the garage like in a picture. [you could also say: like in the picture I have of it.]
Yesterday, I found a used axle on eBay. [I use the verb "to find" when relating to eBay - because there is a search involved.] And if I have [have got is really incorrect in American English - but okay in British English - it's safer to use it rarely.] this week, I will try to get the Yamaha ready to race!

Sadly I think that motorsports like motocross have no future because of the environmental problems. The bikes without catalytic converters [that's what the part's called for me...] cannot meet environmental standards of today.
Many Moto-X tracks get closed every second weekend because the environmental agents say that: "There are too many exhaust fumes."
Therefore, the motorcycle industry must act!

Forgive my lack of comments in German, I'm only just learning it. Anyway, you're learning English so it will help to read some more... :)
