i wrote a text about the film "Rush Hour 3". I would be happy, if you correct it.



Rush Hour 3

I saw the film "Rush Hour 3" in my favourite cinema on last sunday. I bought popcorn and a cola, then i nestled in the chair. After a lot of ad for future films, the main film began. The film started with Chris Tucker. He ruled the traffic on a crossroad. He listened to music with his iPod, that's the cause, why the traffic is catastrophically. He sang a song from Michael Jackson.

After a lot of ads (besser: trailers) for future films, the main film began. The film started with Chris Tucker. He ruled the traffic on a crossroad. (Das Verb "to rule" passt in diesem Satz nicht.) He listened to music with on his iPod, that's the reason why the traffic is catastrophically. (Der letzte Teil dieses Satzes ergibt keinen Sinn.) He sang a song from by Michael Jackson.

Hört sich selbst auf Deutsch doof an.

Übersetzung: "He listened to music on his iPod, that's the reason why the traffic was so terrible."

Hört sich selbst auf Deutsch doof an.

Du hast Recht. Ich würde den Satz und den vorigen Satz so schreiben: "While listening to music on his iPod, he directed traffic in the street. That's why the traffic was so terrible."

In Heaven by "Pixies"


"In Heaven" you can find on the Album named "Complete 'B' Sides". It's a short song, but very powerfull. The singer begin easygoing to sing. But line after line, the voice become louder. The singer scream the text just once as the middle of the song. It's a perfect song to exploite yourself!

But line after line, the voice becomes increasingly louder. The singer screams the lyrics just once during the middle of the song. It's a perfect song to exploite yourself!

(Das Verb "exploit" passt nicht. Könntest du mir das deutsche Verb sagen?)

Die Regel über die Interpunktion von Liedern und Alben lautet: Lieder bekommen Anführungszeichen und Alben werden kursiv geschrieben. Bands brauchen keine Anführungszeichen.

Ich hab' nen neuen Text


The score have been calculated that I believe we need laws, but not athoritarian.

I'm absolutely agree with this assesment. A world without laws would not work. Everyone would do what they want. The people would steal, drive a car without driving license and bash (bashes?) the fans of the opposing football team.

Otherwise too much authority is the wrong way too. We don't need rules for every bagatelle. We need laws for the important things, not for all details. That is the happy medium.

Gern geschehen! Leider kenne ich das deutsche Verb "auspowern" nicht und konnte es nicht in meinem Wörterbuch finden. Könntest du bitte erklären, was es bedeutet, sodass ich das richtige englische Verb feststellen kann?

sich auspowern heißt so viel wie, etwas bis zur erschöpfung machen. z.b. den ganzen tag arbeiten bis man total ausgepowert ist.
