Indirekte Rede

Hallo,

ich soll die "Indirekte Rede" bilden, habe es mal versucht,bin aber skeptisch, ob das so passt, wäre froh, wenn mir jemand helfen könnte.

G: Pam looked really pale! Did she tell you how she felt?

A: 1. Yes, she did. She said she had felt anxious.

G: Did she tell you why she felt anxious?

A: 2. She had worried about the pleasure boat disaster.

G: Oh, she told you about the pleasure boat disaster? Did she tell you what had happened?

A: 3. She had told me what had happened.

G: Did she tell you how many people had been on board?

A: 4. She had told me that over 150 people had been on board.

G: Did she tell you what one of the survivors had said?

A: 5. She had told me what one of the survivors had said.

G: Did she tell you who had saved the survivors?

A: 6. She had told me who had saved the survivors.

G: Did Pam tell you what had happened to the boat that had caused the accident?

A: 7. Pam had told me what had happened to the boat that had caused the accident.

G: How do you think Pam feels now? Do you think she's still anxious?

ich soll diese Sätze in indirekter Rede zum Ausdruck bringen:


a) The president declared: "We shall not give up." - The president declared that we wouldn't have given up.

b) He asked: "What is our plan?" - He asked what our plan was.

c) They answer: "We went home at five o'clock. - They answer that they had gone home at five o'clock.

d) She asked: "Shall I bring you a glass of lemonade?" - She asked whether she would have brought a glass of lemonade.

e) They will answer: "No, we did not do it." - They will answer that they hadn't done it.

f) He said: "My friend is just coming." - He said that his friend was just coming.

g) They replied: "We would not have done it." - They replied that they wouldn't have done it.

h) His wife said to him: "This is very kind of you." - His wife said to him that was very kind of him.

i) The typist wanted to know: "Shall I write the letter myself?" - The typist wanted to know whether she/he should have written the letter herself/himself.

j) My father told me: "As a boy I was very good in school." - My father told me that he had been very good in school.

Das ist meine Korrektur:

a) The president declared: "We shall not give up." - The president declared that we they wouldn't have given up shouldn't give up.

(Bei der Änderung von der direkten Rede in die indirekte Rede, müssen oft auch die Personalpronomen geändert werden. "We" wird also zu "they". Das einleitende Verb "declared" steht in einer Vergangenheitform (Past Tense) , deswegen muss man die Zeit "zurückschieben". Das modale Hilfsverb "shall" steht im Present Tense, deswegen muss es in das Past Tense "should" umgewandelt werden. "Shall" ---> "Should".)


b) He asked: "What is our plan?" - He asked what our their plan was.

(Das Possesivpronomen "our" verändert sich zu "their". Um solche Fehler zu vermeiden, stelle Dir am besten vor, dass du ein unbeteiligter Beobachter bist, der die Sache nun wiedergibt. Bei Satz a kann man dies sehr gut machen. Man ist ein Reporter, der gerade die Rede des Präsidenten wiedergibt. Dann ist klar, dass in der indirekten Rede nicht "wir", sondern "sie" stehen muss.)


c) They answer: "We went home at five o'clock. - They answer that they had gone went home at five o'clock.

(Da das einleitende Verb (answer) im Present Tense steht, findet kein "backshift of tenses" statt. Die Zeitform muss also übernommen werden.)


d) She asked: "Shall I bring you a glass of lemonade?" - She asked whether she would have brought should bring me a glass of lemonade.

(Das einleitende Verb (asked) steht wieder im Past Tense ---> Backshift of tenses. Es ist der gleiche Fehler wie schon bei Satz a. "Shall" ---> "should". Das Personalpronomen "you" darfst du natürlich nicht einfach wegglassen. "You" wird zu "me".)


e) They will answer: "No, we did not do it." - They will answer that they hadn't done did not do it.

(Diesmal steht das einleitende Verb (will answer) im Will-Future. Man darf die Zeitform also nicht verändern. Es muss Past Tense bleiben.)


f) He said: "My friend is just coming." - He said that his friend was just coming. Richtig


g) They replied: "We would not have done it." - They replied that they wouldn't have done it. Richtig


h) His wife said to him: "This is very kind of you." - His wife said to him that (that) was very kind of him.

(Eigentlich ist es ja kein "richtiger" Fehler, da man dieses "that", das die indirekte Rede einleitet, nicht unbedingt benutzen muss. Da du es aber immer benutzt hast, gehe ich davon aus, dass du dann einen Fehler gemacht hast. Dieses "this" verändert sich in der indirekten Rede zu "that". Der vollständige Satz würde also lauten "His wife said to him that that was very kind of him".)


i) The typist wanted to know: "Shall I write the letter myself?" - The typist wanted to know whether she/he should have writtenwrite the letter herself/himself.

(Der gleiche Fehler wie in den Sätzen a und d. Modales Hilfsverb "shall" wird zu "should".)


j) My father told me: "As a boy I was very good in school." - My father told me that he had been very good in school. Richtig

Auf der Homepage http://www.englisch-hilfen.de/grammar/reported.htm ist es ja nocheinmal sehr schon erklärt, wie die indirekte Rede funktioniert.

Ich hoffe, dass ich hiermit helfen konnte.
