The recently published report about drug abuse in Germany once more shows that the alkohol intake among young people is still rising. Especially the so-called „Flatrate“-parties harm the health of adolescents. First of all it has to be stated, that young people often don’t have the ability to figure out their personal limits. They - in contrast to the older members of the human species - more often tend to be susceptible to things like group pressure, claiming to be fearless or posturing. Each form of mass-alkohol-sale and therefore especially „Flatrate“-parties are consequntly a dangerous field for visitors whose bodies are in some cases still growing. This should be a clear fact because of the rather cheap prices which have to be payed to get unlimmited access to almost all drinks available on the list of beverages. In times of very high unemployment rates, affecting pupils who are still dependent to their parent’s income and tuition fees, these are the offers youngsters are searching for. Those topics make flaterate-events enourmously dangerous for adolescents and we have to be aware of the risks alkohol causes to a non-adult body.
