habe mir überlegt Cesars Berichte über seine Feldzüge nach Gallien in Englische zu übersetzen.
Auch wenn ich in der Schule gerne das Original ins deutsche übersetzt habe, habe ich diesmal die Deutsche Vorlage http://www.lateinseiten.de/latein/caesint/aindex.htm ins Englsiche übersetzt.
Es wäre schön, wenn sich das jemand wenigstens von der Grammatik angucken könnte, noch besser wäre es, wenn die Übersetzung stärker an das Original angelehnt wird, da ich dadurch neue Satzstrukturen lernen würde.
1. The whole Gaul is divided in three parts, where in the first one live the Belgian, in the second part the Aquitanians and in the third one, those who are named Celts in their own language but in ours Gaul.
2. All of them are different in language, maxim und laws. The river [Garonna] separates the Gauls from the Aquitanians, from the Belgians the Marne and the Seine.
3. The proudest of all of them are the Belgians, because they are afar of the way of live and the education of the Roman province, traders do not go in and out often and so they do not import those things, which lead to an effeminacy of minds, and due to the reason that they are nearby the Germans, who live on the other site of the Rhine and are continuous at war with.
4. The Helvetians surpass the Helvetians the other Gauls in bravery, as they fight nearly everyday against the Germans by either fending the off their own borders or fighting in the country of themselves oneself.
5. A part of it, which, as said, the Gauls occupy begins at the [Rohne]; it is bordered by The [Garonne], the ocean and the country of the Belgians; it contacts the Rhine by the part of the [sequanians] and the Helvetians; it ls located in a northward direction.
6. The area of the Belgians begins at the outermost Borders of Gaul; it extends to the lower part of the Rhine; it is located in a north-eastward direction.
7. [Aquitanien] runs from the [Garonne] to the [Pyrenäengebirge] and the part of the ocean, which is located at Spain; it is in a north-westward direction.
