In a few days I will meet an american women. (she's from the USA)

I'd like to ask her some questions about her work, about the USA.....

Could someone help me to find some good questions?

examples:

What are some of the main differences between the USA and Germany?

How many inhabitants does the city have in which you live?

I would tell that this sounds better.

The word for "Ausbildung" i do not know, too.
I think the other questions are ok.

Ich find so einen "Masterplan" ehrgeizig.
Meist ergibt sich die Konversation einfach. Du müsstest ja im Vorfeld alle Möglichkeiten ausloten und die Reaktion deines Gegenübers abwägen. Stell dir vor, sie stellt ne Gegenfrage und ihr driftet ab

Um Pausen zu vermeiden sicher nicht schlecht, aber du wirst festellen, dass
a) dir alle vorher aufgeschriebenen und sorgsam rausgesuchten Vokabeln und Satzkonstruktionen entfallen, dir dafür aber Alternativen einfallen und der Dialog trotzdem wunderbar klappt und
b) du vollkommen entspannter reden kannst/wirst ohne dich auf deine Notizen berufen zu müssen/wollen

Gilt natürlich nur für rein private Unterhaltungen, bei Vorträgen und Business-Gesprächen mag das anders aussehen.

The word for "Ausbildung" i do not know, too.

It is indeed not easy to translate. In the given context "Welche Ausbildung hast du ausgeübt" it really depends on what exactly you mean by "Ausbildung". If you use it in the meaning "Studium" it is - for sure - "What did you study?". If you mean something like the German "Ausbildung" (Ausbildungsplatz ...), you can use a construction like "Where did you apprentice?". But I must say that I'm not sure about that.

Hey, I think you're gonna make it without any special preparation...
I've also been in a situation like that and I prepared like tons of vocabulary that could by chance or eventually appear during the conversation . The result was that I din use ONE SINGLE of them
If you just try to 'chill' you're gonna have a nice time - really.
By the way: how long have ya been learning English
