Zeitformen : Bitte Korrektur

Hi,

habe mich in den Ferien mal ein wenig mit der englischen Grammatik beschäftit,da ich damit noch nicht so gut klarkomme.Folgend habe ich mal etwas zu den Zeitformen geübt und hoffe,dass ihn mir einer korrigieren kann.

Yesterday i dropped my watch and broke the glass.Luckily, no other damage has been done.I had this watch for many years,and it has been always kept good time.Father has given it to me as a birthday present.I looked after it carefully and had it cleaned and oiled every two years.I had several other wathces,but none as good as this one.I went to the watchmaker earlier this morning but he hasn’t been being yet in,so I asked a fried to take my watch to him later today.I always has been taking my watch to the same watchmaker,whose shop I found by chance long ago.I have recommended him to many frieds,and they were all satisfy with his work.Once,when I was very young,I took a cheap watch to pieces.This was easy,but I hasn’t managed to put it together again.Since I has been making that experiment,I have never been trying to repeat it.

Donald went to live in Scotland some months ago,and since then he has written to me several times.He lived in Perth,though he mag go somewhere else soon.He has been surprised by the different types of Scotsmen he has been meeting.Before he went north,he thought that all Scotmen were tall and red-haired.Now he found how rong he has been being.He saw tall,fair Scottmen and smal,dark Scotmen.These various characteristics probablywere hand down from different ancestors.The Picts,who were in Scotland in Roman times,were small and dark,it is believed.The Scots,who arrived much later from ireland,may have been fairhaired;red hair has been probably inherit from the Scandinavian invaders.For some time now,I wanted to take a holiday in Scotland,but I have been being too busy to go.I went four years ago and enjoyed myself immensely.


Sind wohl einige Fehler dabei aber wäre nett wenn mir diese beiden Texten jemand korrigieren kann.

Ich würd schreiben: Luckily it had no other/further damages
"have/has been" nur mit infinitv + ing bzw. 3. Spalte unregelmässige Verben!

I had this watch for many years, and it has always kept time very good.
Hier passt es. Die Uhr ist immer gut gelaufen und tut es noch immer. Das "been" passt hier nicht, da hast du was aus Past bzw Present Perfect Progressive zusammen gebastelt.
"to keep time" = Zeit anzeigen. Falls es das ist, was du meinst wäre die Wortstellung unverständlich gewesen

Im Prinzip kannst du hier auch einfach "gave" schreiben

"His store was opened yet", "he hasn't been there yet" or "he wasn't there yet"

Es ginge "I have always been bringing my watch....", aber "I use(d) to bring my watch there" oder "I always bring my watch to that shop" wäre besser, denn wenn du always benutzt scheint das ja ne regelmässige Handlung zu sein.

Meinst du "auseinander bauen"? Dann einfach "disassemble"

This was easy, but I haven’t managed to put it together again.
Instead of "put it together again" you could also say "reassemble"

Since I have made that experiment, I tried to repeat it.

Siehe "has given". Hier reicht auch ein "wrote"

"He lives", da er momentan da noch wohnt. In deiner Version wohnte er in Perth, ist jetzt nirgendwo und zieht bald irgendwo anders hin

Falls er nicht immer noch den ganzen Tag mit offener Kinnlade durch Perth läuft würde ich "He was surprised" vorschlagen. Zumal deine Konstruktion grammatikalisch falsch ist. Im zweiten Teil ebenso, wenn er noch neue Schotten kennenlernt passt es zwar, ansonsten einfach "met"

Er dachte damals, das sie das SIND. Ausser, sie haben ihr Aussehen in der Zwischenzeit massiv geändert und sehen generell anders aus.

Now he found out that he was wrong.
Er hat es herausgefunden, also ist der Vorgang abgeschlossen.
