In Germany there is a common saying about the current generation which calls it “Generation Praktikum”.

One reason for that saying is that more and more students and graduates are looking for an entrepreneurship. That increases the chance to get a good job because more and more firms are looking for people who have working experiences and a good conclusion at the university. So it is normal for today that students have to do everything possible to highlight themselves. One of these possibilities is to make an entrepreneurship.

There are a lot of firms and organisations, which helps students to find internships all over the world which covers a wide range of topics. Therefore, students have the possibility to make an international internship and have an adventure into the real world.

Nevertheless, there is also a negative aspect of these internships. Many firms fired a lot of people to employ a trainee who do the same things for less money. The reason for this is the globalisation which increases the pressure to save money.

To sum up the internship is a good chance to get working experience and there is the possibility to get a job in the firm after the internship but mostly only a low-cost employee is needed.
